OK, DUers. I hate to beg, but my cats need vet care

and I don't have the money to get them their shots. I started another gofundme campaign to get vet care for the cats so I won't have to give them up, as well as a cheap bed for me. I have to throw away my bed because of bed bugs and now I'm sleeping on an air mattress, which I don't mind if it weren't for the cats.

I'm not going to need near as much to get the cats to the vet as I did to get me away from the ex-roomie.

You know, it's a weird coincidence.

It was only a couple of hours ago that an idea struck me, about how Judy grasswire can make some spending money.  I think she seriously needs to consider this.

I dunno if such services exist any more, but there used to be "clipping services" that subscribed to just about every newspaper and magazine in the nation, from which news articles about any given personality were clipped, and mailed to that personality, or personality's press agent.

It was a good means of keeping track of how one was doing, publicity-wise.

Judy grasswire's a prolific reader of the DUmpster; probably reads just about every single thread here.  So she has a good idea of who the primitives are, who are mentioned here.

She could set up some sort of service for primitives interested in knowing what we're saying about them, but not interested enough in coming over here themselves to search for such things.

And using paypal, they could pay Judy grasswire a buck or something, for every link she sends them where they're mentioned.

I'll bet it would give Judy grasswire a lot of extra income, at least some of which she could donate to causes she deems worthy.

The only problem is that she is like most of the other primitives- so selfish and self centered she can only be bothered to read about herself. 

It would do Judy some good to loosen up a little bit, and maybe get a viking helmet a couple of sizes larger than the one she wears already.

This is exactly why it'd work for Judy grasswire; she does read everything here, not just those things where she's mentioned.

I think she reads everything because she's hoping to find signs of "criminal" activity.

But the other primitives, no; Atman for example.  He comes here only to read threads about himself, no other primitives.  He doesn't care about any of his fellow primitives, only himself.

Despite that he's a pretty good looker-around, I suspect he's missed some threads where he's mentioned.....threads which Judy grasswire wouldn't miss, and send him the links for some specified sum.  (Paid in advance, one hopes.)

We, we'd tend to do such things for free, as a public service for the good of humanity, but a Democrat, liberal, or primitive would demand to be paid for performing charitable deeds.

Not only is my electric bill exorbitant, but it's accumulating late charges because I can't pay the damn thing on a disability check of just over $1100. On top of that, I'm facing a mechanic's lien on my car because of a back $210 repair charge, not to mention back charges of medical deductibles and copays of which I have to rid the burden. I'm afraid I might end up in the dark, without a car, and in debt up to my eyeballs.

I am on a fixed income, living on a Social Security disability check of $1172,  and am saddled not only with a back electric bill of about $500, of which not only the late charges continue to accumulate,  it also makes me unable to pay it all in time to avoid shutoff.   
I have paid the electric bill.  Thank you very much.

And once that was collected she updated

I'm also beset by accumuating copays on  medical bills (which insurance doesn't cover) of at least $500.  I have to pay that bill if I want to continue to get the treatment I need from these doctors.  I also need funds to cover the costs of newly prescribed medications I must take, but cannot for lack of abilty to pay for them.

I also owe my mechanic $210 for repair bills of which I can't pay on my own. I must pay him or else he'll put a lien on my car and even repossess it.

I will also need funds for expenses related to furnishing my home.  I still have no furniture apart from a dinette table and don't have enough for household expenses, such as kitchen utensils and pet supplies for my cats.
I will need the funds by the end of March so I can pay off my back bills.
My cats are not up to date on their shots, so I'll need help with that.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and any funds left over will be donated to my local food bank.

I tripped over a sidewalk crack, fell, and conked my head 2 days ago
     
I was trying to take a walk around the block when I tripped over a crack from an uneven sidewalk three doors down from my apartment building, fell, and hit the left side of my head pretty hard, knocking off my glasses. My left hand ended up swollen and my left shoulder is sore from the fall. I didn't lose consciousness, so I thought I was OK until yesterday.
I was feeling a bit dizzy yesterday, thinking I might have hurt myself worse than I previously thought, so I decided to drive myself to the ER (I live alone, so I have no one either to take me nor pick me up). The PA ordered a CAT scan on my head and neck and X-rays on my left hand. The good news: both the CAT scan and x-rays were negative. No blood on my brain and no fracture of my hand bones. The bad news: I was diagnosed with a mild concussion, so I have to rest for at least today.

I guess I got off easy this time.

I'm not buying it. When is the last time you paid any bill with cash and they gave you a hand written receipt? You can buy those at Office Depot for like $3 for 200 receipts. Any business now will print out a receipt, on their letterhead with original amount, payments, and amount due, if any.

Anybody could have put their signature on that thing to make it look official, but methinks that $400 went into her/his pocket.

Something else I noticed. Look at the "comment". It says it's for "my" portion of the back bill. If someone else filled that out, you'd think it would say something along the lines of, "Payment from Ms. XYZABC for HER portion of rent/electric/water/any bill". And with no printed receipt, there is apparently no computer record of the payment. I smell a rat.

IF I had a mole over there, I'd try and come up with some sort of sob story that would pad the bank account, while making it look like I paid for desperately needed rent and other expenses.
