Bernie Sanders hasn't released his tax returns! Any ideas why??????
 
He been asked several times on national TV and even Trump has come up with better excuses. Hillary has released 8 years worth and Bernie's campaign has used it to criticize her.

Why can't Bernie release his???? Is there something about them that would matter to primary voters??? Is he hiding something we need to know??? Does anyone really believe it's because "Jane is busy"?????

Maybe if we had a list of possible reasons we could compile them and figure out why he is, apparently, being dishonest about this.

2. Bernie can hem and haw about Jane being too busy to release the 2015 filing, but he hasn't even
 
released the full and complete 2014 Federal filing, and hasn't released any other Federal tax filing from years prior even though he's been in Federal gov't for 25+ years!

Barack Obama released all his Federal tax filings from 2000-2008 when he ran. He continues to release these.

Hillary Clinton has done the same, and continues to release the full Federal tax filings up to 2014.

Jeb Bush, for chrissakes has released his Federal tax filings! So did his brother, Duhbya, and even Dark Cheney.

So why does Bernie think he's special that he only has to release his 1040 Form that shows NOTHING.

What is he hiding? Why so secretive, "(Not-so) Everyday Man"?

Of course, it is pretty obvious Sanders is a millionaire, like Hillary, who he has been bashing for being part of the "millionaires and billionaires" he is always railing about.

Host Jake Tapper pointed out that rival Hillary Clinton has posted her returns for the last eight years online — leading to considerable criticism about her income — but Sanders has yet to post his.

“I’m kind of surprised that you haven’t gone further on transparency. You released the summary page of your 2014 tax returns,” Tapper said. “Hillary Clinton has posted on her website the last eight years of her personal returns, all of the returns. Before the New York primary will you match her? Will you post your full returns for the last eight years?”

Sanders averred, saying his wife was responsible for their taxes and that there wasn’t anything “exciting” in them.

“You know who does our tax returns? My wife does our tax returns,” Sanders began. “We’ve been a little bit busy late lately so we will get out as much information as we can but there ain’t going to be very much exciting in that. I get a salary from the United States Senate, you know, so there’s not going to be anything new in it that there hasn’t — that people haven’t seen for the last many years, but we will get it out as soon as we can.”

“But nobody has seen them at all, I guess, is the point. And whether or not there’s anything exciting in them,” Tapper replied before being abruptly cut off by Sanders.

“No. That is not true, that is not true,” Sanders replied. “Of course, we have released them in the past! Our financial situation, to the best of my knowledge, has not changed very much, but we will get out all of that information as soon as we can.”

As for this year, anyone with computer skills can use TurboTax to file simple returns. However, people who have lots of investments or complex situations may need more time. So exactly how complicated is his situation?

Is he going to blame his wife for everything else too?

He's always hounding Hillary.. but, he wants to slide by because he's too busy?

And, why does his wife do them when she's not an accountant.. they couldn't be hiding anything, could they?

maybe he and Jane have been cheating on their taxes for years. He never thought he would get this far so he didn't bother to try to fix it.

Ummmm ... yeah. Unless The Bern or his wife are tax accountants,the chances they do not have their taxes done by a CPA are near-zero. The Bern could have included with his 2015 data an instruction to release his returns from 2014 as far back as he thought reasonable.

As for The Bern 's Audi, I don't now if every vehicle I've purchased in my lifetime would add up to $163K. That's something like 11 vehicles, 4 or 5 of them used. It's his $$ and his right to use it as he sees fit. It's just hypocritical in light of his professed socialism and image of being "a man of the people". Just as it's hypocritical of BHO and Moochchelle to pretend to be healthy and impose "healthy" meals on PSs when they obviously eat whatever they @#$% well please (and he smokes, last I heard).

Lets assume the missus is indeed 'too busy' to deal with this year's tax returns - how long would it take to make PDF dumps of the past 8 or so years, hand them to their webmonkey, who can then post them on his campaign page ? If she is really slow, it might take an hour at most.

Hell, she can just hand off the forms to her webmonkey, who could then scan them, convert them, and post them for her.

Off topic but using the Ted Cruz Simple Flat Tax Plan* they would not need an accountant to do their taxes.   



*I think Trump has a plan too but I know the Cruz one better.

There is absolutely no way that Jane did their taxes.  Of course a team of CPA's do them, like any other rich and powerful senator.  Who the hell is he trying to kid?  I'll bet they show charitable contributions as next to nothing, and some very questionable payments to his wife.
