He ran into the loading dock in a forward gear and his instructor finally snapped and killed him.    :-)

Backed over him, eh? :whistling:

Well now.....

I thought the Big Zero was going to take care of things like this.  The primitives promised us he would.  What's been going on the past seven years, then?  Did the primitives lie?

Surely not........  :hammer:

I think the real problem is that the resume shows her cloistered for so many years at the university.  An environment that includes concepts like trigger warnings and safe spaces.  She mentioned that a lot of her "instruction" involved things like self-esteem.  Any business worth its salt will run, not walk away.  Who knows what litigious nightmare lurks around the corner?  In light of the last line on comment 3153 referenced above, that just may be the case.

ten years back in experience. I'm staring 60 in the face and I have been in the job search merry-go-round since I got my masters' on 10/11/01, and I hate it. I live in poverty but I am at least able to keep a roof over my head, shoddy as it is, and am constantly in a state of perpetual job search.

Face it primitives, your situations are hopeless.  Go ahead and and get all the college you care to go on the hook for and wear your finest clothes to the interview, you're still not going to get the job.  No matter how well they clean themselves up and no matter how thick they lay down the BS, the HR people must be able to spot primitives for what they are from a mile off.

At age 56, i was forced to change occupations. I ran a foot-race with the grim reaper and beat him to the hospital by about 5 minutes, so i am told. Five days in ICU, 12 days on the cardiac ward, and an Implanted Cardiac Defibrilator, I had to change occupations.

I was an electrician and a SCADA tech, making just under $20/hr. After the problems, I could not get near live electrical circcuits or strong magnetic fields.

I applied at a number of places, got hired on at Home Depot in the electrical department, and am celebrating 10 years there this month.

A career change CAN be done if one wants to do it.

At the 15-year mark, it might be time to reflect on that education. Maybe there was a poor decision somewhere along the line.

66. Give up.

I turn 57 next Tuesday. People love me until they hear I'm old. I can still freelance over the interwebs, but people don't want old people. At my last job I made 97k. Now they want kids who will work for 12/hr. I'll probably never have a real job again.

No pension and you were too stupid to think of your own retirement?

Like more than a few democrats, including his idol Pitt, McGrath lives off the toil of his wife.

Even before he was fired from Mission Control for spending so much company time at the DUmp, he never did more than play around with cartooning, a dubious art form at which he has no significant skill.

As for $97K, his previous entry level job at a political junk mail mill maybe paid him that in two or three years.

He might fare better at job interviews if he invested some of his wife's dough in a better-fitting suit.

We can only hope...   :lmao: :rotf:

She could be an Uber driver or something else in the gig economy.  If anyone is wondering what the gig economy is, it's what they used to call low wage temporary hamburger flipper service industry jobs but that was back during republican administrations.  Now they call it the gig economy so poor schmucks can feel like rockstars or something and maybe won't blame Barry for their plight.  I read about it in a Time or Newsweek or some other leftist rag I skimmed through at the dentist office the other day.

Have to have a car, THAT RUNS, isn't covered in the typical dimlib bumper stickers, or smell like the south end of a north-bound jackass.
