Wendy Bell, an award-winning journalist with WTAE-TV for 18 years, was fired Wednesday for comments she made on her Facebook page.

A statement from Hearst Television, the station’s parent company, said, “WTAE has ended its relationship with anchor Wendy Bell. Wendy’s recent comments on a WTAE Facebook page were inconsistent with the company’s ethics and journalistic standards.”

WTAE has the right to be stupid. Similarly, WWTAE's viewers - and the public generally - have the right to let station manglement and WTAE advertisers know how they feel about WTAE manglement's stupidity. Like politicians, they may see the light when they feel the heat.

There's too many micro aggression triggers or whatever they're called in the first paragraph.  Can't say "down on his knees," or talk about him picking up scraps.  And a huge no no was using "rhythm" and "dance" to describe his actions, or even using those words in general.  And if the murder she's talking about was black on black crime, you can't talk about that either.  You're not allowed to care about or point out people who do things right, only people who've had wrongs done to them....and knowing is half the battle.............(GI Joe)
