Oh my.

Now that'd be a good comedy routine, two very ancient old men on the campaign trail.

And wouldn't this be like, for example, as if Herbert Hoover had hit the campaign hustlings for Alfred Landon back in 1936 or something?

<<<am sure Judy remembers that election.

Huff Post this morning: Time for Hillary to Concede to Bernie

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/h-a-goodman/its-time-for-hillary-clin_b_9555422.html

With Bernie Sanders now slightly ahead of Clinton nationally in the latest Bloomberg poll, it’s time to reevaluate the meaning of pragmatism. Hillary Clinton might be ahead of Bernie Sanders in delegates, but Vermont’s Senator has a monopoly on political momentum. Sadly, his opponent has a monopoly on controversy, and will face FBI interviews in the near future. A Los Angeles Times article titled Clinton email probe enters new phase as FBI interviews loom highlights why Clinton’s campaign is stuck in political quicksand:

Much, much more at link.

1. more

It’s time for Democrats to deal with reality, not just allegiance to a political icon, and rally around the only candidate not linked to an FBI investigation, and other controversies. With recent victories and future wins ahead, Bernie Sanders has all the political momentum heading towards Election Day. Most importantly, Bernie Sanders is the only leading candidate with positive favorability ratings in 2016.

Hillary Clinton has negative favorability ratings in ten national polls. When people forget about Trump’s rallies, and the billionaire pivots to his former identity as a Democrat (“I probably identify more as a Democrat”), then the Clinton campaign is in big trouble.

In terms of these favorability polls, Hillary Clinton holds negative ratings by an over 10-point margin in 9 of these polls.

The fact that in 9 out of 10 national polls, Clinton is viewed in a negative manner by an over 10-point margin should worry anyone fearing Trump, or a Republican White House.

2. Hell naw, baby

Whatever this author is drinking must be high proof, because their mind is addled. On no planet do you asked the candidate with a double digit popular vote lead and a big delegate lead to defer to the opposition. The arrogance and entitlement of such a request is stunning.

6. Jimmy? Is that you?

I've been hoping that Jimmy Carter will campaign for Bernie.

Yeah, she does remember Herbert Hoover campaigning for Alfred Landon in 1936.

But it's too bad she doesn't remember what a flop it was.

9. Typical HA Goodman tripe. There were 8 national polls last week, why does only 1 matter?

Oh, right, only 1 shows Bernie leading, that's why. Clinton's still +9 on the average polling.

18. This is the part that's even funnier about the Bloomberg poll: Sanders 49% - Hillary 48%

Sanders is ahead on that poll by a whopping 1%. Oh no, Hilary should quit the race today!!!!

P.S. Hillary is ahead in every other poll.

23. Why would the candidate who is ahead in both pledged delegates and the popular vote drop out???

Only in the parallel world that Goodman seems to inhabit.

19. Good fantasy reading material

The delegate math will determine the nominee, not some subjective notion of "political momentum" (which Hillary Clinton actually has more of in terms of votes/delegates). While the race is obviously not "over" yet, Clinton still has a healthy lead and a much more realistic path to the nomination than Sanders does. I also wouldn't hang your hat on FBI interviews removing Clinton from contention either (I know that it's every Republican and some Sanders supporter's fondest wish). An interview does NOT mean that they will find wrongdoing. I suppose that now we should believe that getting interviewed by the police means that one is automatically guilty of something? Does anybody remember, "Innocent until proven guilty"? Bueller?

32. She could pretty much coast at this point (though she won't)

Bernie has to blowout pretty much all of the remaining contests, which, odds are, he won't. Anyway, no matter what, as long as she walks into the convention with the majority of pledged delegates, she will be the nominee.

24. H. A. Goodman speaks.

So far, every time he does, the opposite occurs. He's batting almost 1000 at getting it wrong. So, please proceed, Mr. Goodman. You just keep up with thinking. It helps us to predict the future. If you say it, it's sure not to happen.

<<<am temporarily well-disposed towards the mineral-headed Minnesota Moses^^^, but we'll see how long it goes before he blows it.

26. HA Goodman wants the current leader in votes and delegate to quit?

Who woulda thunk it?

30. Too bad they left off the other national polls at the same time frame which showed Hillary winning

However, that you posted from one of the worst political hacks in the business who is notoriously wrong about everything, really demonstrates desperation

Why do sanders supporters keep posting stuff from this idiot

<<<am temporarily well-disposed towards the Texas pyramid ^^^, but again, we'll see how long that lasts.
