I used to like Ted Cruz, but I have concerns about these things.
Born in Canada (not eligible)?
Constitution clearly states he's eligible. This is one of many Trump lies he's spread and believed by a gullible public that has no understanding of Article 2.
Wife worked with Goldman Sachs and seems to be in favor of the North American Union
This is relevant why?
Campaign tactics like using fake checks to get donations and shaming letters to get votes
Link to the fake checks claim? Vote shaming letter wasn't the best thing his campaign came up with.
Helped with John Roberts' process of nomination
No he didn't. Another Trumpidian lie. Roberts was confirmed in 2005. Ted Cruz was not elected to the Senate until 2012. In 2005 he was the Solicitor General for the State of Texas. There is NO WAY he could have had any hand in the selection of Justice John Roberts to move from the D.C. Circuit Court to the Supreme Court.
Uses untrue information in ads and does not pull them
He has not said anything about Trump that can't be back up by...wait for it...soundbites of what the Cruz ads state.
Lies about his record, past pro-birthright citizenship position,
Link?
and other candidates
Link?
Connections with neoconservatives and Neil Bush who seems to have had problems
Ok the use of the term neocons generally is considered an anti Semitic term to say...in this case...that Cruz associates with Jews. So what if he does?
Neil Bush came on board as a fund raiser...financial guy for the campaign...again...so what?
Wrote editorial with Paul Ryan and still at Wall Street Journal website
Link? What is the context of the article?
Gave teddy bears with Glenn Beck to illegals
gave Teddy Bears to children who had been sent from Central America by their families...ALONE...what's wrong with that?
Ted Cruz needs 87% of the delegates to get to 1237, and if two candidates get there, the convention could be brokered and neither candidate would be nominated.
Trump doesn't even have half the delegates he needs. Your point?
The establishment wants to make new rules so that no popular candidate would win the nomination, and an establishment candidate would not get votes.
How does Ted Cruz factor into this?
Is Ted Cruz with his record working to benefit conservatives, or is he running to be president because of selfish ambition?
Ted Cruz is the Reagan of our era. For those of us that weren't lucky enough to vote for Ronaldus Magnus...this will be our first chance to vote for a real honest to God Constitutional Conservative.
I'm glad that we have this website to discuss these things. I'm not sure that I trust him. If you share these concerns, please make sure people you know in the primary states know this information, too.
You know what I don't like or trust? People that throw out a lot of unfounded crap like it's fact.
