I’m beyond pissed. Here’s why:


A snake oil salesman, Trump, has an actual chance at being nominated and elected president.

The alternative to him is an immense-sized turd named Cruz, who is hated by the entire Republican Party.

There may be enough ignorant/know-nothing/bigots to elect one of these two. (Don’t ever again wonder how genocidal maniacs come to power.)

The entire media is busy denying they had anything to do with this grotesque situation.

Many terrified Republicans are falling in line behind Trump “just in case he wins.”

If Trump or Cruz becomes president, make sure your passport is up to date. (Not that anyplace on this planet would be safe from their insanity.)

But here’s what really pisses me off: We Democrats are busy fighting a Bernie/Hillary war. It seems that we are too busy to fight a clear and present danger to our country, (and possibly the survival of this planet).

And this is the one thing that pisses me off than anything else: The incredible stupidity of far too many American voters. I’d really like to say, “**** them." They deserve what they get. The problem is that all the rest of us will get ****ed just as badly.

I wish I could suggest some kind of solution. And I guess we’ll have to wait until the election in November to see what happens.

But no matter what happens, the Trump/Cruz voters aren’t going away. And their toxic hatred will poison American politics for decades to come.

Just change out all the [D]s with [R]s...

the status quo is untenable, and the sooner we make an end to it, the better. Imagine Trump ending the status quo: disaster for everyone. Imagine Clinton ending the status quo: she'd be the captain going down with that ship. Imagine which candidate would incrementally reform the status quo away, in a responsible way that is better for 99 % of everyone.

VOTE SANDERS while we still can have him at the top of the ticket. These chances are few and far between, and this is not a time to risk everything just so Clinton can have her turn.

3. Couldn't agree more. I was happy to see Amy Goodman blast CNN for being part of why Trump blew up. To be honest I always thought it was because of how much of a laughingstock he's always been. But something stuck and I really get feeling disenfranchised. It's a shame a lot of these voters don't see how being served by a democrat could benefit them, but Trump goes to the reptilian brain and cites things that real Americans are afraid of. When that's engaged you can't even get to higher reasoning.

They are voting against their own self interest!!!!  :yawn:

I was a photojournalist for nearly 40 years and in that time, on small and medium sized newspapers, I carried out "man on the street" interviews about current national topics. It would take 25-30 interviews to find a few people who were even aware of the news event in question, and get the 5 answers for the layout that were even comprehensible and thoughtful.

I am beginning to fear that a Trump presidency is a real possibility. It is really scary.

policies and a republican. She made a literal fortune off the people that benefit from the current system. She changes positions so often that we don't trust that she will work to reform the system.

If you want to unite democrats against the republicans you'll need to find a way to address these issues.
