I guess I'm taking the bullets to prove there are Alert Stalkers.
My last couple of hides were pretty amazing. I know I am a target but I'm ok with that.
I've been here since the beginning and it's never been as weird as it is now. Every word I write and every post that I put up I review over and over to make sure it survives.
I obviously suck at that.
It's 1984 on steroids.

12. The rules may have changed but the stalkers/posters are still doing damage
One need only look at the home page of "Democratic Underground" to see their work. Count the number of articles that are pro-Clinton--the front-runner by far, and then count all the rah-rah Bernie Sanders posts.
I did start to respond to a post about Democratic Senators urging Sanders to knock it off, but it was locked already when I hit the post my reply button. A duplicate post, however, is standing in our group.
This needs to end.
The front page should reflect the issues facing Democrats--not just Bernie Sanders and his miracle-will-come campaign.
oh, the bernie purge is coming, children... just relax.... and wait for the blood to flow...

18. trumad, you are a recognizable and respected member of DU.
I speculate they are issuing points to BS supporters for HRC supporters' hides. The more recognizable/respected the DU member the more points they get. I'm sure with the highest points rewarded is 100, you get them 100. Again this is total speculation on my part. I know of no such program being run by the BS Group, but can find no other reason for all the ridiculous hides.

20. Truth be told...
It is the flaw in the jury system..a flaw I bet the Admin didn't see coming.
Here's what I think. There are certainly alert trolls on DU and the trolls most certainly have a target list they focus on.
I have no doubt I am on the list and probably rank in the top 5...top 10 for sure.
When I get alerted on there is a pretty damn good chance the majority of the jury is not supporting my candidate.
That's all it takes...if my post is anti- the other guy..I've got a good chance of getting a hide...no matter how inane my subject matter is.
The saying use to be "take your chance with the jury".
Well when the jury is so slanted to one side, your chances aren't very good.
Oh.....and don't discount a well worded alert comment. It's almost cut and paste with me. Number one cut and paste: there goes trumad being a bully--Again!
Or...there goes trumad calling people names....again.
When a jury reads these Cut and Paste alerts and see the word "again"...they assume I do it all the time.
