Grace in defeat is a virtue. Would be so refreshing to see more of that from the Sanders folks.
 
On the Hillary side, we are overwhelmingly graceful. When Bernie narrowly won MI, our side overwhelmingly congratulated Bernie and didn't start hurling out vitriol and delusional accusations about rigged elections or anything like that. It was what it was.

Hillary SWEPT all five primaries last night, but Bernie also had very respectable showings in two of them which were extremely close, so congratulations on his strong showings in MO and IL. Bernie congratulated Hillary, and so should his supporters. That is called grace and class.

Bernie will go on to win some more of the states, especially caucus states that have a process and demographics more favorable to his candidacy, and for this I will say congratulations ahead of time. But at the end of the day, Hillary will have much more raw vote (she has two million more votes now) and significantly more delegates.

The math just isn't on Bernie's side. Much as I like him, and have always said so, he will not be the nominee. He has done some amazing work coming from so far behind, but at the end of the day the party and nation won't accept a self-described European type socialist. I really like many of his sentiments, but he is too vague in how he is actually going to accomplish his goals and is promising things he knows he can't deliver at least anytime soon. They are great goals, and we should have big goals, but we also need some measure of realism and practicality as well. That is PROGRESS. If Bernie got the nomination, there would be endless and relentless attack ads of "SOCIALIST MASSIVE TAX AND SPENDER" which would crush him to smithereens. Hillary is much more battle tested and would be stronger in the general election.

You guys have spent a year burning every bridge you can see, and now you think you've got it wrapped up you're suddenly trying to rally the progressive vote. Yet even now, you still can't resist the urge to insult us and call us deluded. If Clinton does go on to win this, you have some seriously harsh realities to face as a result of the condescending and high handed attitudes you guys have displayed during this primary. Reap what you sow.

The data now says that 1) Sanders does well in Caucus States; 2) does better in States which allow Independents; and 3) barely ties in midwest battleground States. Where's he going to win in big enough margins to offset Clinton's 300 delegate lead?

The possibility of the phrase, "President Trump," might just be enough to get almost all Bernbots to unite in kissing Tsaritsa CHILL's hind quarters. Not sure if, "President Cruz," is quite as horrifying to the Bernbots.

It's been true that primitives sit down and shut up after a D candidate's been named, and reliably showed up to vote for that candidate no matter how repugnant he'd been to them before.

In this case, though, I don't think that's going to hold as much as it had in the past.  In the past, one could count on pretty much 100% of the primitives hewing the party line.  This year, I think it's going to be somewhat less, maybe about 75-80%.  The old primitives will show up, but I doubt all of the younger ones will too.

I have to agree. The millenials will stay home since their "Promiser of free sh*t" didn't get the nomination. They're fired up now only because of him. They could care less about cankles.

It is not the convention yet. They talk about a brokered convention for Republicans. Could the Democrats have one too? Granted, Hillary Clinton has more delegates than Bernie Sanders. Another possibility, neither get nominated and goes to Joe Biden.
