I have dementia and I think I still have a handle on right and wrong and this was so wrong!

I don't think anyone that reads the DU doubts my alignment with Bernie's campaign.

I don't know who was on the jury and I don't want to know. This was BS and I don't mean Bernie Sanders.

… for your kind PM (which arrived within minutes of my thread being locked), but also for posting this OP.

The DUzys were a means to UNITE through laughter, and a way to honour those who sparked that laughter with their wit and style.

To see it used as a means to DIVIDE through portraying snark as wit, or as a means to "award" said divisive snark, was more than I could bear.

If anyone on this site wants to start their own “awards” based on what DU is now, they should do so. But there is no need to spit on JeffR’s DU legacy in the doing.

Thanks to all who have my back on this – especially those who disagree with my political views, but are nonetheless willing to stand with me on this particular issue.
