Attention Sister Bravenak! Question on hanging out on street corners.


What should we do if our grand daughters want to start hanging out on street corners? They will be 15 this year, come from lower middle class families, have very little money to spend, one is a PoC and all indications are that they will probably want to hang out, maybe even on the local street corner. Should we:

A: Assume that they are up to no good and forbid them to hang out with their friends, immediately search their rooms for condoms and drugs, and read their diaries and journals?

B: Try to find them local jobs like sweeping up hair at the local beauty shop or washing dishes at the local diner?

C: Assume that they are good girls who just like hanging out with their friends, that they are not doing anything wrong, that they might not want their parents to hear everything they say, that hanging out is a normal part of growing up, that all teens do it, that it's just what kids like to do?

What do you think? Which of the above will help race relations? I hung out on street corners with friends when I was 16, did you?

to African American communities--jobs that pay $15 an hour. He was talking about economically depressed areas and how the lack of jobs left kids with nothing to do.

He wasn't talking about kids who socialize and hang out. Nothing wrong with that.

      When Bernie's merry band of Bolsheviks realize that there won't be enough $15/hr jobs to go around, and no one wants one when they get $15.01/hr in government cheese anyway. it will become $20/hr, enforced by the most backassward, un-economic, disincentivizing regulations imaginable.

      They'll claim that it works in Europe, and has for decades, except I never see video of hoodrats in Europe. I don't see videos of European women yanking each others' weaves out while their 5 children look on. I mean, I'm sure with all the filthy vermin Muslims crowding the place, we'll see that stuff soon, but I don't see shiftlessness, laziness, and downright stupidity in Europe to the degree I see it here. That is why we are different, and why we are ****ed.

I will have to look to see what the per hour value of all of crazy Bernies handouts will be.
I can guarantee that if health care was declared "free" tomorrow you would see a mass exodus from the labor (and tax withholding) force the likes of which no one could imagine.

Forget that for a moment... what I want explained to me is what makes Bernie think these people will go work for $15.00 per hour when their welfare benefits comes out to about $20 per hour. 

Put yourself in their shoes for a second...

What to do, what to do?  Get out of bed in the morning, go work for 8 hours, 5 days a week, or sit home, get up at noon,  collect welfare and watch Judge Judy, Dr. Phil and Ellen Degerate?

Don't exactly take a rocket scientist to know exactly what they would do.

I read somewhere yesterday or the day before, some idiot college professor somewhere said $15 was a good start, but it should ideally end at $30.
