Oh, I know a few who intend to vote for him, but I don't respect their judgment in such things. The rational ones are not exactly pro-McCain, but do intend to vote against BHO.
Actually, it's a play on that one comment by the
New Yorker magazine "critic" Genet (Janet) some years ago.
I'm not sure when the comment was originally made, but I suspect it was in 1972, when she said, "I don't know why Nixon won. I don't know anybody who voted for him....."
Others have since attributed it to 1980 and then again to 1984, regarding Reagan, but as this "critic," living most of her life in Paris, had been writing for the
New Yorker magazine since the mid-1920s, and would have been immensely old in 1980 or 1984, I suspect the real comment is from 1972, and referred to Nixon.
