Quote
The Drudge Report summarized Thursday night’s GOP debate, which front-runner Donald Trump skipped, with the headline: “The Seven Dwarfed!”

That assessment matches the consensus, left and right, from media observers: that Trump benefited from staging a fundraiser for wounded veterans, where he appeared relaxed, magnanimous, and in command, rather than placing himself in the crosshairs of the Fox News moderators and his Republican rivals...

...The Cruz camp appears to have made a strategic miscalculation. By sticking with the debate, and accusing Trump of cowardice, Cruz hoped to place himself at the head of the anti-Trump opposition. Instead, however, he exposed himself to a gang-tackle by the moderators and the other candidates. Had he joined Trump in protest at Fox News’ behavior, he would have signaled that he and Trump were the prohibitive final two candidates in the GOP primary...

Was Fox in the bag for Rubio? It kind of seems like it to me.

I watched the entire debate.  Kelly started out with asking Cruz to remark about Trump not being there; he made a joke and tried to bring focus elsewhere.  Next several questions by moderators were asking Paul, and Rubio (in particular) to take aim at Cruz and at one point wouldn't let Cruz respond.  Finally, Cruz spoke up and said if the questions continued to ask the other candidates to attack him, he would have no other choice but to walk off the stage.  Questions were not asked of Cruz for quite awhile and you would have thought Rubio was the front runner.

The interview after Cruz and Kelly was much better and KELLY AGREED that Cruz did not indicate he was for illegal immigration or amnesty...something she should have stated during the debate.

I felt that the debate was directly targeted to lower Cruz's credibility.  Kelly is definitely pro establishment.
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

Kelly and Fox in general started out pushing Jeb Bush. For whatever reason though, they have carried a lot of Trump speeches almost in their entirety.  I'm hoping that ends.

They've carried a lot of Trump's speeches because he is part of the establishment. That of course is not what he has proclaimed, but nothing else quite makes sense.  He's voted DEM and is buddies with the Clintons.  He took the focus off of ALL the other candidates by dominating (I believe they were bought) the media.  He in the very beginning stated that he may have to run 3rd party and didn't know if he could support the GOP nominee; it depended on if he was treated fairly.  Now, he skips a debate because he felt he wouldn't be treated fairly.  I don't see that he has been treated unfairly at all, quite the opposite, it is he that has treated others unfairly.  He left the most conservative candidate alone, until he got to close; he has all but destroyed him.  If only he had spend that much time and effort destroying Hillary or Bernie. He has made comment recently that he had to get more establishment.  Harry Reid prefers him.

My prediction is, if Trump loses IA he will sue Cruz and if Cruz is found to be eligible to be president, then Trump will run 3rd party stating he wasn't treated fairly.  Trump is nothing more than a pawn for the DEMS, the establishment and the Clintons.
