Mark my word - Snyder will resign

This Flint disaster is getting way too big for him.
Come on Michigan if it could be we're all French, it can be we're all from Flint.

1. I want him in jail

Resignation is not enough.

6. We may get both

They should all go to prison - jail is short term.

No word yet as to whether those who built the lead-lined sewers and maintained them for decades should be incarcerated.

In fact, that's rather the point. It's not about the people.

Flint has been mismanaged for so long it is yet another Proglodyte failure. They need a distraction to get people to overlook that reality.

51. Mayor too

I can't believe someone running the city didn't know what was going on. Both must resign and maybe charged.

How long have those pipes been in the ground?

It's not that the civil government is just finding out about it; the point is you're only just now caring because a different political party is finally in charge.

56. The mayor had been relieved of duties, by the emergency Manager

that Snyder appointed. Said manager is now busy demolishing Detroit's public schools...and yes, he belongs in a long-term penitentiary, too.

The mayor had nothing to do with it. The whole city's population were enslaved to the governor's whims. They had no democracy; they were under Occupation.

And what was the deposed mayor doing about the issue?

Nothing.

He and his predecessors had built lead-lined infrastructure then mismanaged the city's money until they couldn't even afford even the most basic services, let alone correct their mistakes.

79. Exactly!!! Heads need to roll on this one. They willfully poisoned people!!! n/t

That would be the Democrats that awarded and administered the contracts and maintained the façade for decades.

3. I hope this wakes the good people of Michigan up

And they kick the R's out in the next election, regardless of how much money DeVos spends on ads .

If the people hadn't kicked the Ds out you'd be going on with business as usual.

32. Exactly....

if you live in a community not wealthy enough to buy politicians, it can also happen to you. We are all from Flint.

More like:

This is what happens when you live in a community that has been bought by the politicians.

37. Jail is too good for him.

He needs his future generations pay for his crimes.

39. One can still hope that this also unravels the illegal takeover scheme as well. nt

See. This is what I'm saying.

The bitch about the emergency manager taking over the city but had the city not been taken over the politicians that installed the pipes, oversaw the infrastructure and then bankrupted the city would still be in charge.

It's akin to bitching the cops didn't deal with the abusive husband forcefully enough so you demand the wife returned to her husband.

62. The ****ers lose over and over

Snyder will resign - the Feds are not going to allow him to turn a self made disaster into a major federal disaster.

He's lied his ass off tonight.

Michael Moore on Chris Hayes

I seriously doubt Tony Rezko's buddy wants to pick the scab off of where those pipes came from.

I'm thinking mal got her dreads tangled in her :stoner: and decided to enjoy it a bit longer rather than untangling her dreads.

:mental: :whatever: From Jamaica and skews from sources like Michael Moore she knows what's going to happen in a medium-sized central US city? :whatever: :mental:

If Snyder goes to jail, the head of the EPA should be right behind him.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

I don't think he can just resign. I don't think it's a contractual thing - he has to be re-elected.

Oh, wait. Does she mean resign as in "quit," and not resign as in "sign up again?"
