In regards to the quote from Joseph Campbell from the Hero's Journey.... liberal hate the hero's journey because it's all about the character making sacrifices to better themselves and realizing that they're exceptional, and plays to the spirit of individuality.  In a lot of stories, the hero has to "grow up" and become responsible.  Liberals hate that.
