The Privileged

The Democratic Party, in my frigging opinion, has swung too far to the right -- in the interests of War Inc -- and too far toward "Corporate rights are civil rights" -- in the interest of Wall Street.

The Privileged

The Democratic Party, in my frigging opinion, has swung too far to the right -- in the interests of War Inc -- and too far toward "Corporate rights are civil rights" -- in the interest of Wall Street.

This drift to the Right distresses me, a Democratic Party member since I was asked to declare in some primary in Michigan or Illinois over the past 40 years. You see, at heart, a Democrat believes all people are created equal. From what I've seen, certain Democrats have more privileges than others. I'm not talking superdelegates; but the superwealthy.

Question for you, Dear Reader:

Has the Democratic Party swung too far to the Right -- toward Corporate/State/Military power?

Please suggest a country as an example that is far enough to the left for you.

Good.  Now move there.

Conservatives and Liberals/Progressives/Socialist Democrats agree on that point. Here is the difference however:

Conservatives believe everyone starts the race equally and the race, at the finish line, has winners and losers.

Liberals  believe everyone starts the race equally and the race, at the finish line, has everyone FINISHING equally, regardless of effort.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

I commented on some thread on facebook begging, BEGGING Hitlary and Bern to run on an anti-gun agenda and to shout it from the rooftops.

I was told, by one of several resident liberals, 70% of Americans are for "common sense gun control" and it would be a winning issue.

So I again said, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE run on that platform.

They failed to put two and two together. You're right, if they run on that, they truly are :spork: ed

He's somewhat pro-gun (with limitations). Basically I was trying to tell them to run on a "control" platform.

But I want the pro gun dems to encourage Bernie to make a third party run. Hillary fully supports Obama's illegal gun edicts.

A third party run would be the best, but what about sore loser laws?

Should You Be Able to Buy Soda With Food Stamps?

9. I don't care about soda. I strongly feel that every state should allow feminine hygiene products

to be purchased with SNAP benefits. They are a necessity, not a luxury, and all the states should recognize this.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sue-kerr/if-you-cant-afford-tampons-what-do-you-do_b_5352396.html

This is a problem that I never thought about until I was 25 years old. While my family had financial struggles, I never lacked the items most women take for granted -- pads and tampons. At 25, I met Shirley, who gently educated me on the impact of poverty on our womanly ways. I learned that women and girls who could not afford these products used rags. And because they did not have a lot of resources for laundry, they either burned or buried the rags.

Several years later, I learned how women who are homeless in urban environments also used rags or simply bled through their clothing until they could throw those items away and get new (donated) clothing. Beyond lacking actual products, they often have no access to a sanitary bathroom or any facility with the privacy to take care of this biological need.

SNIP

When I've shared this information in the past, some people don't believe me. They don't believe that there are thousands of families in Pittsburgh where people don't have an extra $10 to spend on supplies. That there are families for whom reusable products are not viable or sanitary. That people who are exhausted from living in poverty while working can't figure out a workaround.

SNIP

You can't buy these items with SNAP (food stamps). You can sometimes find a sale or a coupon, but you need a bunch of cash on hand to stock up for say six months. Some girls and women have very heavy flows and may use twice as much products as others. Reducing periods because you are poor is not a good reason to take oral contraceptives, which are also not always covered either.

I agree with the OP to an extent. The left is incredibly  privileged.
1. The Left can say any vile thing they want with small chance of repercussions.

2. They have no reason to work, they can ruin themselves physically  and daddy government  will take care of them.

3. The media is on their side in overwhelming  numbers.

4. Most importantly, anytime they decide to throw a tantrum on anything they get their way despite what the majority  wants.

I do disagree with the DUmmy on one claim.  The left has not gone to the right in any degree. If anything, they have gone as far left as they can possibly  go at the current time. Why? Why the hell not? They have gone unopposed on every single thing they have set out to do. Why should they pull back? Even those politicians who call themselves conservative have gone over to the liberal side and use the R in their title as a smokescreen. We saw this in the last midterm election.
