it is slick out there in my corner of the world
thermostat went out on jeep-took over an hour to scrape ice yesterday. Took it to mechanic a block away from my new home this morning. Should be done by this afternoon.

Decided to walk home. No biggie right. People in New York walk in this cold all the time.

Stadium coat Check
Hoodie Check
Scarf Check

Boots with thick socks Check

All was well, took less than 8 minutes to get to my corner

Streets are cleared well.

Step up on my curb which is brick paver. Boom hands go out, feet go up and bam. Butt hits first then head.

Did you know brick is very slick even when it looks cleared off?

looked around no one saw thank god. Get to my building and get in elevator...no keys. So walk the same route and found the keys on the ground where I fell. Thank God they were there.

How long before we get tales of her being injured and suing the municipality?

So... goldbrick Pam slipped on the red brick, and smacked both ass and head. What does that say about the proximity of those two body parts?

Pam and her pet slug husband moved to a dee-luxe apartment in the sky, in Wichita's Old Town district. They are surrounded by upscale eateries, coffee houses, bars, and no less than two cigar lounges -both of which I enjoy when I am in Wichita. Oh, the memories!

I'll have to watch for Pam the next time I am sitting out on Mort's patio with a bourbon and cigar.

Which is why you decided to post on DU that it happened, right?

back.

I need to go to the Chiropractor anyway.

I'll just know in the future that brick is very slick even if it looks cleaned off.

Why is she talking about people in New York walking outside in the cold? I thought she was in Kansas?

She and her husband George recently moved on up to a deeeluxe apartment in the sky. In BFE Missouri or Kansas or wherever. Any day now we will hear about the sassy black maid she hired.
