Snaps back defensively when inaccuracies are pointed out? Yep, it's nads.
Her beloved NAN "is one of the fastest growing civil rights organizations"? Well, growing from 2 people to 6 people in a year is 100% annual growth. Wowzers! 200% annual growth! When NAN's membership - whatever it actually is - is a significant number, then talk about "fastest growing". Until then it's just a minor gadfly infestation.
As cities like NYC, SF, and Berserkeley have proven for decades, rent control and other screw-landlords ordinances and regs have predictable outcomes: housing shortages generally; low-cost housing becomes particularly scarce; housing stock disrepair, especially at the low-profit (or loss-prone) low end; decent owners are driven out of the market; operators who don't repair properties and scam renters proliferate. I wonder how far down that road San Diego has trod. San Diego used to be somewhat conservative - all those active duty and retired Navy people - but they've had some pretty liberal governance in past decade or two, judging by the kinds of mayors they've elected.
