It sure looks like Trey Gowdy's about to endorse Marco Pubio

Re:  Rubio's latest trip to SC:
Quote
Gowdy met [Rubio] when he landed in South Carolina and came to introduce him at his first event of the day, in Spartanburg, telling the crowd “I haven’t seen anyone that does a better job of communicating principled conservatism in a hopeful way.” In Anderson, both were joined by [Sen. Tim] Scott, who introduced Rubio as inspiring, hopeful and having an “amazing story.”
Quote
[W]hile Gowdy said “I typically don’t endorse people,” and downplayed the impact of such an endorsement, he suggested his appearance on the trail with Rubio wasn’t for nothing.
“The fact that Timmy and I are here on a Saturday, in a place where neither one of us lives, probably should tell you something,” Gowdy said.
I live in SC, land of the unprincipled.
Nikki Haley, welcoming more & more Syrian refugees.
Tim Scott accepted $67,500 from pro-TPP corporations, & then, predictably, voted yes for global trade.
Mick Mulvaney, can’t get any more pro-amnesty.
Trey Gowdy, soft pedaled the Benghazi investigation.
Lindsey Graham, the neocon out of the closet with his liberalism.
Did I miss anyone?

Trey Gowdy: another false”white knight” on a dark horse

Did you know that one of his campaign donors is a large Mexican business corporation, which coincidentally bought out a major American company in Gowdy’s hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina? It also sponsored an event attended by U.S. journalists and organizations dedicated to promoting a New America…Can you say NORTH AMERICAN UNION

Were you aware that Gowdy supports the ENLIST Act, which fast-tracks illegals to citizenship if they join the military at the same time that our troops are being reduced to levels not seen since before WW II? Why would Congress, especially Republicans, be getting rid of military at the same time that they are considering passing an act that would replace them with aliens who do not respect our laws? Think those might be the ones who will fire on the American people someday? Then we have the Benghazi Select Committee which Trey Gowdy chairs. Are you aware of who he appointed to this committee? Lobbyist Philip Kiko?

Philip Kiko – is a lobbyist for the Smith-Free Group, in which his clients include the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the radical environmentalist group the Sierra Club, Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), National Council of La Raza “the Race” (NCLR), and the National Organization for Women (NOW), NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (NLDEF) and others.

Trey Gowdy also received donations from Duke Energy, the same company that received $700 million in stimulus money from the Obama administration and turned around and donated $10 million to the Democratic Party while hosting them in South Carolina…

Maybe some of you don't remember or maybe you don't care but other than my not caring about George Will being an atheist, I have a larger reason for not liking the establishment hacks!

Oh and I include Krauthammer, Kristol and other Washington Insiders in my dislike of Faux Conservatives.

Obama And Conservatives Break Bread At George Will's House

Quote
Barack Obama took the next big step in his Republican charm offensive on Tuesday night, when he dined with several of the nation's most prominent conservative pundits.

The president-elect arrived at the Chevy Chase, Md., home of syndicated columnist George Will shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to a press pool report. Greeting him at the residence were other luminaries of the conservative commentariat, including the Weekly Standard's William Kristol, New York Times columnist David Brooks, and Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post.

I'm with you on that.  I actually do like hearing Krauthammer's take on stuff, but I don't need him or any of the rest of that gang of dildos telling me what to think, or assuming their own policy positions are unassailable by any other stripe of Conservative.

Well, looks like the fix is in.  Trey Gowdy will endorse & campaign with Rubio, a proud sponsor of the Gang of 8's amnesty.

Question:  Did Gowdy get corrupted by the golden fleece after he went to Congress, or was he a fake before he was elected?  For me, the turning point of Gowdy's flip to rino was evident when he went soft on the Benghazi hearing.

Here's Trey Gowdy on Rubio:

Quote
"Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust. I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state."
Further proof that the word "conservative" has been hijacked & corrupted.  The GOPe elite is probably thinking, we're really stupid, they want conservative, we'll say what conservative is.

Gowdy is first and foremost a professional politician. While others (like Cruz) make definitive, cutting statements about policy and a stance, Gowdy will waffle when the political winds shift.

It's really as simple as that. Gowdy has cast his die. Now he'll need to lie in his offal.
