Gowdy met [Rubio] when he landed in South Carolina and came to introduce him at his first event of the day, in Spartanburg, telling the crowd “I haven’t seen anyone that does a better job of communicating principled conservatism in a hopeful way.” In Anderson, both were joined by [Sen. Tim] Scott, who introduced Rubio as inspiring, hopeful and having an “amazing story.”

[W]hile Gowdy said “I typically don’t endorse people,” and downplayed the impact of such an endorsement, he suggested his appearance on the trail with Rubio wasn’t for nothing.
“The fact that Timmy and I are here on a Saturday, in a place where neither one of us lives, probably should tell you something,” Gowdy said.

Were you aware that Gowdy supports the ENLIST Act, which fast-tracks illegals to citizenship if they join the military at the same time that our troops are being reduced to levels not seen since before WW II? Why would Congress, especially Republicans, be getting rid of military at the same time that they are considering passing an act that would replace them with aliens who do not respect our laws? Think those might be the ones who will fire on the American people someday? Then we have the Benghazi Select Committee which Trey Gowdy chairs. Are you aware of who he appointed to this committee? Lobbyist Philip Kiko?

I'm with you on that.  I actually do like hearing Krauthammer's take on stuff, but I don't need him or any of the rest of that gang of dildos telling me what to think, or assuming their own policy positions are unassailable by any other stripe of Conservative.

Question:  Did Gowdy get corrupted by the golden fleece after he went to Congress, or was he a fake before he was elected?  For me, the turning point of Gowdy's flip to rino was evident when he went soft on the Benghazi hearing.

Gowdy is first and foremost a professional politician. While others (like Cruz) make definitive, cutting statements about policy and a stance, Gowdy will waffle when the political winds shift.

It's really as simple as that. Gowdy has cast his die. Now he'll need to lie in his offal.
