The DNC declared war on 85% of Democratic Underground's members today
Maybe 90%. I forget the percentage of us that preferred Bernie in the last DU poll.

They ask for cash. They demand obedience. And they spit in our faces, attacking a good man who's fighting for the 99%.

They deny him a platform to state his case by limiting debates, and demanding he not participate in any debates but theirs.

Their buddies who own the press stifle coverage of the unprecedented grass-roots support, the Democrats, Republicans and independents who all agree that he speaks for us.

And now they steal his mailing lists.

Well, **** that. Just **** that. I'm voting Bernie in the general election, no matter what happens in the primary; no more "who the **** else ya gonna vote for, suckers?!!" from that crowd of bloodsuckers and swine. I'm tired of having my life served up to the highest bidder and you should be, too.

Vote Bernie next November!

I've seen a lot of Bernie supporters on Twitter saying they are going to write in his name now.  I try and feed the fire.

The DNC is treating Bernie and his supporters worse than the RNC is treating Donald Trump.

So, if DU starts purging Bern-Outs when they don't toe the DU party line or ask how high on the way up when DU says, "Jump!" will any 2008 Purged-PUMAcrats be rehabilitated? I doubt a Berniebot purge would banish 85%-90% of DU, but even a 30% purge of members would leave the DU echo chamber sounding more hollow than ever.

Actually this will give Manny a chance to reinvent himself. As it was, when Hillary gets the nod, he couldn't really stick around given all the hate-filled things he said about her. Now, he can wait a few days, come back as a bern-out, but one that takes the position that if he doesn't win then they'll support Billary.

So primitives, be on the lookout for someone who is a big bern-out supporter, but one which will go Billary if it comes to that. That'll be Manny.

So, if 90 percent of DU are Bernie Sanders supporters and if Hillary Clinton gets nominated, this could be biggest exodus/purge coming. I mean BIG ONE. This would make 2008 pale in comparison. Frankly, I would not be surprised if DU shuts down for good because of this.

I don't believe our membership money is comparable to the ad revenue, though. The power is in the sheer numbers of us, as supporters of the Sanders lawsuit were able to prove to the DNC.

The Clinton coronators (right here in this thread!) have been proclaiming there will be a huge purge in DU membership right after her *inevitable* nomination. But I wonder if 11% of the current postings would still attract the same amount of ad revenue.

The power does not rest in the postings of our more prolific former posters.

The power is in our sheer numbers.

The owners have created Discussionist, a right wing haven. I believe it would be very profitable for them to create a progressive underground site for 89% of DUers to flock to after the Great Purge that Clinton supporters say is coming.

That is a lot of members. That means 203,521 members are Bernie Sanders supporters. That is larger than many towns and mid-sized cities right there!

I've been doing it for a dozen years, as have virtually all with whom I interact. Perhaps you have progressivism confused with ego-inflation, self-edification and personal aggrandizement. If so, I don't think a unique website will accommodate many so afflicted.

Facebook might be a good alternative.

or the party. Warren was an exception but like Bernie, it was only out of the need to find someone to use to attack other Democrats as not pure enough. Originally it was FDR, but Warren and then Bernie became better because the argument that it was 70 years ago was too strong.

The constant sarcasm was a turn off. One can support Bernie or whoever without that.
