I met my first tRump supporter yesterday.

I was at a Holiday gathering and this gal came on about Muslims and how she is "packing heat." Holy shit! Dead silence to the statement and looks of people looking at each other expecting someone to say something. I was so stunned that I was speechless. This is a well-educated female who is retired after a successful professional career.

I chose not to reply or argue...anyone with a gun in her purse is someone around whom I really do not wish to remain.

C`mon,no conversion and adoring/cheering crowd?

6. Pretty much what happened!

I did keep a watchful eye until I was sure she was not about to spot a Muslim and start firing all over the place.

Two days ago, I had a phone call from an old associate. He had just spoken with a police officer, about how to get a permit to own & carry a handgun. He said the officer told him that the police are encouraging citizens to do so. I said that I assumed the officer meant to encourage those with handguns to follow the law. The old friend said no, the officer made it clear that due to the dangers in society, more people should be packing iron.

He asked if I wanted him to pick up the paperwork for me? I said no. He said that he wanted me to think it over, in light of the number of people who had made threats against me in recent years. My answer remains the same.

It is within this atmosphere of fear that Donald Trump gains support.

8. I saw one while grocery shopping the night before thanksgiving

He had a trump shirt on and look very pissed off/angry. I wouldn't have been surprised if he was carrying either.

12. Last night I was doing some online browsing for

handbags on a mainstream site and was pissed to see photos of guns in ads for purses offering "concealed carry." Weapons of death in women's purses. Paranoia fueled by fear is taking over.

Why do you want women to be raped?

I haven't met any. But, my daughter has met two and she gave me a report. They sounded even more crazed than I thought they would be.

Sounds like you are really talking about the number of actual black DUmbasses.

I noticed that, too.  Quite the stretch.

Maybe she's got relatives in Stockholm who've been gang raped by Muslims in that "fair" city? :censored:

So, according to Damp Man, the fact that gun sales have spiked since Obama took office in 2009 has something to do with something Donald Trump has done?

It somehow seems like a microagression of a racism to me for Wet Man to deny Obama's only lifetime accomplishment as the World's Greatest Firearms Salesman and give the credit to a white man.

Don't get me wrong, I know white people are awesome but we're not magic.

I suppose they won't start saying that unless Trump wins the primary.  I would bat if that happens we will be hearing a lot of it.  Unfortunately none of them will leave.

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

That would be the clincher for me.  :-)

I caught the end of Rush's show today where he talked about "the Wilder effect," which was exhibited when former Gov. Doug Wilder ran for re-election in Virginia.  The exit polls of the voters showed Wilder winning in a landslide.  The opposite happened.  Rush went onto say that this was chalked up to voters not wanting to appear racist to the exit pollsters, thus opening themselves up to further cajoling and questions.  So, the said that they had voted for Wilder, when in fact they had not.  Hence, "the Wilder effect."

Rush went on to describe what Don Lemon of CNN had said on-air as being the opposite of this--that there are a lot of people who support Trump, but won't say so on camera for fear of being labeled as a racist.  We'll see if "the Trump effect" comes into play.  My guess is that Don Lemon wouldn't say this unless he felt that it could be substantial.

These don't even qualify as bouncys. They're as lame as lame could be.

I'm waiting for the CAPITALIZED bouncy along the lines of:

I CALLED OUT A REPUG AT HOME DEPOT

I ARGUED WITH A RELATIVE AT (INSERT HOLIDAY HERE) DINNER AND GOT THEM TO AGREE WITH ME

I CONFRONTED A REPUG IN THE PARKING LOT

You know, lots of capitalization to prove a point, or something.
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.
