« on: December 05, 2015, 02:16:54 PM »
NEENAH, Wis. —Neenah police said a standoff at Eagle Nation Cycles on Saturday is over.

Neenah Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson said the standoff scene is safe, and there is no longer a threat to the community.

Authorities said a police officer and a citizen were hurt during the standoff and were taken to a hospital. They said the officer is expected to recover.

Investigators said hostages were taken after a man walked into the motorcycle repair shop and fired a weapon, WBAY-TV reported.

Police responded and requested aid from the Appleton Police Department’s SWAT team.

No word on what this is about and it was over by the time I got around to posting it but since it is a little town in Wisconsin most people probably never hear of, I thought I would post in the hopes that there will be some follow-up.

The standoff was prompted by a man who changed his mind about selling his motorcycle, a Green Bay lawyer and friend of the owner of Eagle Nation Cycles told the Journal Sentinel.

Attorney Cole White, who had been receiving calls and text messages from Steven Erato, owner of the motorcycle shop, pieced together this account:

Erato was at the shop working on motorcycle Saturday morning when he heard a commotion and saw an intruder firing shots.
