getting back at the Bernie bullies, part 3

Oh my.

More stuff, and more to come later; best to give in nourishing bite-sized pieces.

No link, because this is from a non-public forum, remember.

DU is a "perfect example" of what a BS Cult looks like, Bill. It could not be anymore Cultish if it tried.. but, I'm sure we have Not seen the worst of it, yet.

You many have seen some of my posts on DU. In the polls and demographics, some of the Bernie supporters who show up at his rallies are what I call "Archie Bunkers" from the old sitcom All in the Family.

They are pro-gun, white, closet racists, anti-corporations, anti-government, and conservative. Of course, the BSers on GDP hated the characterization, but anyone can see how Bernie attracts the 21st century version of Archie's. He sounds just like Archie in many ways. Just because Bernie claims to be motivated by "socialist" values - he actually is motivated by economic values and the concluding behavior is ultimately a conflict with social justice. You can see it in the F35, Martin-Lockheed, gun votes. Archie would claim loudly that he was not raciest, and rationalize a lifetime of inaction by pointing to one or two efforts years ago to show how he was unbiased. Bernie does the same thing in my mind. Archie would claim loyalty, but act in selfish ways (like not wanting to join the Democratic party).

I know that's a bit complex, but I can see it, and I can see who is in the audience at the rallies. I can also see the poll demographics with Bernie's "conservative" slice of white working men.

Actually, Ed Shultz is not far from Archie Bunker too. He hunts, he was in favor of the pipeline because of jobs, he rarely talked about social justice (in contrast to Al Sharpton for example), and he was borderline gender bias. I can see it even if the analogy is not perfect. I hope Ed's not someone's favorite, but I'm glad he's off TV now.

People who think they got it the worst in the recession because that kind of threat had never really hit them before. They are used to being catered to as the transmission belt of the economy, and they were shocked to find out that they were expendable too. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/11/busin ... .html?_r=0

They are lashing out and blaming everyone for why the system doesn't work as well for them anymore. The heard the song of their people when Bernie sang out for them on NPR: http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolit ... ite-voters

And said shit like this:

On African-American support for Democrats:

Well, here's what you got. What you got is an African-American president, and the African-American community is very, very proud that this country has overcome racism and voted for him for president. And that's kind of natural. You've got a situation where the Republican Party has been strongly anti-immigration, and you've got a Hispanic community which is looking to the Democrats for help.

But that's not important. You should not be basing your politics based on your color.

There is a sector of the left that has always believed that civil rights and other social issues were a distraction from the real struggle, and we allowed the economy to be destroyed for our ponies. Of course, they never acknowledge that all of our struggles have deep economic effects that cause problems for us--those would just be solved if we'd played ball and waiting for the economic trickle-down fairies to come with *their* economic concerns in the driver's seat.

Meanwhile the world moved on, and the coalition that elects Democratic candidates is full of people who are not middle-income white men. Many Sanders supporters think they can bypass the Obama coalition (if they are even aware it exists) and try to go for their old allies, the New Deal coalition with Joe Lunchbox. But that guy wears a teabag on his hat and he isn't coming back.

tl;dr angry white boys, mainly.

Well said, Starry! "angry white boys" because BS tells them to be angry. He wanted to primary President Obama in 2012 because of .. well, Demagoguery! Nothing more.. the President has been excellent. And, now with so much going so well with the Iran Deal and the Economy.. that is bad news for Bernie.

I remember those quotes of BS's thoughts on the 2014 midterms being posted on DU.. and many of his supporters insisting "they were taken out of context!"

When all we had to do was read what he said.. shake our head and believe out eyes.. not how his fans wanted to spin it. He was clueless then and getting more so the more I know about him.

I honestly wanted to believe that Sanders wasn't responsible for the behavior of his supporters at first, but the more I read, and the more silence from the Sanders camp on the direction of where his organizers should put their energy, the less I can give benefit of the doubt.

Right now GDP is flogging that story about the San Antonio Latinos for Bernie going to protest the Castro office. The guy quoted in the story is the Sanders' field organizer for the SA for Sanders chapter. So either this is the direction Sanders wants to go, or he has no control over his people (and even if the guy is a volunteer, there should be some kind of central decision making going on.)

This is incredible insight into what these individuals will say about each other behind closed doors. I hope the Bern-outs are reading this and taking notes. If not, they're really missing out, but this wouldn't be the first time they've overlooked golden opportunities.

Incredible the nasty stuff they say about each other behind each others back.

The Cha (Chae) primitive, the ugly old creature from Hawaii, is one of the biggest BOGers (O-bots) on the island, and yet she's the one pointing fingers saying "Bernie-bots are mind numbed robots! Bernie-bots are mind numbed robots!" It's as if she has no sense of self. Her Obama can do no wrong and is to be defended at all cost. She'll do the same thing with Hillary. But yet, if you were to point out to her she's a close-minded fanatic, she'll deny it.

It's just funny to see the primitives on both sides point fingers and accuse the other of things that, in this case, all liberals are guilty of being.

I would say at this point the entire left is basically a cult.

This is getting stampeded, buried, by other events, and it really needs to be out in the forefront.

Maybe by early this coming week, the primitives will have forgotten about what Skippy's pals did out in California, and I'll post part 4.

I agree.

I personally enjoy it because of the anthropological study of the primitives and their tribal interactions. But the Bernie-bots primitives, who are aware that the Billary's are at an alternate site because they're the one's who chased them there, need to further be aware of what's being said about them so they can evaluate the consequences of their poor behavior.
