Mama Mia!

what a fun movie - really, I absolutely loved it although Pierce Brosnan cannot sing. he is pretty terrible, but it is so campy and so gorgeous, anyone over the age of 38 will love this movie..

everyone in the theater we were at, In Bellevue, Wa (Lincoln Square for any of the locals) was singing along.  :lmao:

Greece is a beautiful place and just about every frame of the movie had water in it... I cannot imagine living in a place such as that, but it was a fun, light little movie. Just what we needed as my girlfriends are helping me start the planning of my daughter's wedding and all three of them are IN to it. they want to go dress shopping and plan parties - its been a blast so far, and this movie, Mama Mia, is about 24 hours before a wedding and all that ensues.

but be warned there is mostly singing... so, if that bugs ya, dont go.

otherwise, two big thumbs up.

total girlie movie... BEG should see this with her mom after the funeral.. it will make her smile :cheersmate:.

I watched Hancock last night.  Hubby and son loved it, I thought it was stupid.  I usually love Will Smith movies but I left feeling blah about it.  We actually went to see Batman but it was all sold out.

the reviews, which i typically take with a grain of salt, have all said, "this is a downer of a will smith movie" .. almost all of them agreed.

so, maybe that's a rental down the road? Batman sounds a bit dark for me..

Batman sounds awesome... I'll try to make it to the theater to see it.  I've heard Hancock was a weak movie.  Guzzling on a bottle of Jim Beam while flying around like Superman?  Come on.  :whatever:
