From the Supporters I have seen for Sanders they are his worst enemy and the More Sanders speaks the more I am understanding where many of his supporters are coming from and it's not the Democratic base. Sanders has never been a Democrat and to this day still isn't but the Democratic party was nice enough to let him run in the Democratic primary (which I think was a mistake from the very beginning) because he caucuses with the Democrats (his only other choice would have been to caucus with the republicans).

I've been pondering how it would be possible for a Social Democrat to attract Libertarians or Conservatives, which we are told is happening. The Libertarians could only be voting against Hillary--Sanders stands for everything they hate. Conservatives can be socially liberal in certain areas while being completely reaganesque on economic issues. What Obama has started, with the ACA in particular, has to have confused them. We have made great social gains with Gay marriage, and certain conservatives while not enthusiastic, also don't care much one way or the other.

These types hate Hillary. They hate her, and they have been programmed to hate her. If I could jump into their heads, I believe I would find a deep fear of change--American conservatism by definition, is preservation of "American Values" --The white, male version. Whatever the outcome of the primaries, these values are being challenged, and will continue to be challenged. The time dominance of the white male is slowly (very slowly) eroding and in America, this became clear with the election of President Obama. There is a reason Democrats need the Africam American vote, the Latino vote, the votes of women. With change comes fear. We have the disaffected left--who lack the courage of their convictions to become a real Socialist, or a true Green Party voter, and see a way to upend what they consider one great big plot to hold (white) people down. We have the memes here are well; the "1%ers" "Big Pharma" "Wall street" etc.--all of which need a good reforming, true, but not by destroying the Democratic Party

So here we have this crusty old white guy (who marched with Martin--take that white guilt) who is promising to undo all the evil decades of white male rule has garnered. He will reform campaign Finance. He will reinstall the Glass–Steagall Act (and who, of those singing the praises of this can explain 1) what that is, 2) how reinstalling it will impact our banking systems. I'm not saying it's not a good idea, I'm saying it's become a meme to parrot) he will bring Wall Street to heel. He will implement free healthcare for all and everyone can go to college free of cost. He will fix the Middle East. He will prevent war. He will fix the environment. He will all this because millions of people, from all over the political spectrum will be singing in harmony will rise and support his entire platform.

He is a lion. He is FDR (completely forgetting why FDR had the political clout to do what he did, as well as some of the more unfortunate aspects of his presidency)

So people buy into this, and as we've seen WHITE people especially buy into this because it's an easy story, and white people are used to their comfortable and they lived happily ever after bedtime stories. We get to feel good. We will help everyone--oh, if only they could see it!

When one starts looking at how any of this will pass congress, one find obstacles and monetary discrepancies. In other words, Sanders math doesn't add up, and that will cost him during the debates and as his campaign unrolls.

So who supports Bernie? Angry disaffected whites who are losing their privilege, bitter voters who are keyboard warriors, naive voters who have been cruelly promised a large pile of unattainable bullshit--and who don't realize that's it's bullshit or that it's unattainable. Misogynists--I didn't get into this, but there are Sanders supporters who hate the idea of a woman president. Don't think for a minute they aren't in the mix. Racists, still smarting from the election of President Obama (and I think this runs deeper in more of the left than will ever be quantified) Fools, the disturbed and trolls--lots and lots of trolls.

After the big guy made a big deal about being terminated on the Hillary site--when, as it turned out, he hadn't even been mentioned--Wills, the boss of the site, cautioned the supporters of the worthier candidate to refrain from criticizing individual Bernie bullies.

There's really no reason for this to be taking place, all this having to start another site in order to express yourself to other members of Skin's island because you aren't able to do it there.

I blame this partly on Skins himself. If he would have started a Fight Club forum which would allow the primitives to say what they want to say to each other without fear of admin, mod, or jury retribution, then this wouldn't be taking place. There is no reason not to let them have at it on the island.

I put up, for example, our Fight Club here, which I believe is open to members only. And yet, it is rarely used among those who are regulars here. But, should Chris (let's say) have a problem with me, he could go there and rip me to shreds, and I could respond in kind. Sometimes it best to just air it all out. And all this with no worry of being removed from the board. But because we can, we don't. Not that I have anything against Chris or anyone here. But knowing it's there and it can be used is good to know, and puts us all in a place where we'd rather not. Better to just get along and have fun.

The primitives, on the other hand, are in dire need of wanting to destroy and verbally abuse each other, but there's no outlet to do so unless they go off the island. Going off the island makes it worse than keeping it in house. Skin's really hasn't thought this through.
