I had my choice back in March. I don't have a problem with picking early. Ted Cruz is head and shoulders above the crowd on virtually every issue, and has the bonafides and experience to prove he will follow through. He has a couple of shifts, notably on TPP and H1B's, but he has never been outrageously off-message at any time in his adult career, not just in the senate.
That said, of course I will vote for anyone against Hillary, even if the eventual GOP nominee. I voted for Romney/Ryan last time, even though I held my nose. The only two other candidates who have a realistic shot are Cruz and Trump (barring an incromprehensible resurrection of the Bush campaign by a desperate socialist mainstream media).
Consider one more thing: A Cruz nomination will attract millions of real conservatives that weren't present in 2008 and 2012. Remember, the mainstream media's primary goal is to get a moderate to run as the GOP candidate or to find a discontented GOP candidate to run third party.
