Svetlana Alliluyeva, now known as Lana Peters lives in Northern California. She is the daughter of Joseph Stalin. She defected to the US in 1967 and in a press conference she denounced her own father's regime.

She doesn't sound like the most stable person if the wiki accounts are to be believed. Of course that's just my "I've read about this woman for five minutes" opinion. She may have denounced her father for a myriad of reasons - not just the fact that he was evil personified.
