I doubt it. Next to Muslims, liberals are some of the most anti-christian yahoo's you'll ever meet. Hell, I think the only reason they haven't started killing Christians off is the knowledge that nazis and gangbangers in prison won't care for their little "tolerance and diversity" act.
I had seen, probably here or on CU, that majority-black parts of Houston had voted heavily against Parker's proposed ordinance. Blacks have, for decades, voted >90% D, i.e. liberal, and many blacks are church-goers (IIRC, at least a couple of the pastors whose sermons were subpoenaed were blacks). That was the basis for my inference that Parker had alienated at least some liberals.
As for Christians being targeted and killed in the US, "radicalized" Muslims (i.e. those who are faithful to the Qur'an and think they are sufficiently numerous) aside, I think we are quite a way from that. Yet. It is, IMO, possible things could get that far, but the progress down that road may yet be halted and reversed.
One thing of which Christian-haters are ignorant or from which they refuse to learn is history. Christians have survived several paroxysms of deadly Roman persecution, "barbarian" invasions (instead, converting the "barbarians"), internecine warfare and persecution, the French Revolution, Leninist-Stalinist-Successorist persecution, Hitler, Mao, Kim I, II, and II, and more. The persecutors are dust; Christianity and Christians persist.
A penisphobe, too.
Works for me, BD.
