I challenge members of DU to do the following:
 
1. Spend some time on other websites and respond to comments critical of Democrats with facts.

2. Challenge the use of "Democrat Party" in every instance.

3. Challenge the use of "American People" used in the following contexts -

 -- "doesn't respect the American People", or "hates America" or other statement where the poster - one individual - professes to speak on behalf of all of the American people. Obama does this or that all by himself - the American people are really upset with him. Republican members of Congress say, the American people sent us here to do "x"

I've noticed more and more that Republicans use "Democrat Party" unchallenged when on TV or in interviews. We have to challenge this - we choose how to describe ourselves, we don't allow other people to do so.

I've also noticed the growing use of "the American people" when any conservative speaks with disapproval about anything that a Democrat, including Obama supports.
