It's unfortunate that if one follows the line of thinking of anti-gun rhetoric, this follows suit shortly thereafter. Defining and supporting the state as some sort of caretaker for the masses (i.e., the nanny-state) allows for the encroaching shadow of big government to further take hold. I don't need a government standing over me and watching my actions, trying to protect me from myself. Shit, I'd better start investing in the adult diaper industry, because I know a certain group of people who might need them in the future.
