47. may their children
die from gun violence...
I am angry, I am angry at us collectively for not being able to keep the Republicans from being elected... may every politician preventing steps to end gun violence have a child die from same (my very angry side is showing and it is not pretty)
Some of us did lose children, you useless piece of shit! The really sick part of this is that Douglas County has high gun ownership and NRA membership. We're mostly rural, timber & farming country. Oregon has a law on the books that allows people who have a conceal-carry permit to carry on campus. UCC has a gun free policy. As respectful, law abiding citizens of this community, we respect that people who attend don't bring them on campus. If they had, there might not be this carnage.
What pisses me off to no ****ing end about you people is you're incapable of understand that a good person with a gun can stop an evil person with a gun. The government's own studies (much to their consternation) prove that gun violence decreases in areas where gun ownership goes up. Chicago has one of the highest murder rates in the country and some of the strictest gun laws. Guess what? Many of the guns used in drive-by shootings are not ones you could legally buy in a gun store. You want to take away guns, start with the illegal ones there first. Go on, do it, I dare you. Do you honestly think they're going to willingly give them up? Law abiding citizens there don't have guns. It hasn't helped them either.
Your angry? How do you think we feel when your side and the president (who couldn't help mentioning himself 28 times in a 12 minute speech) comes out a lectures us before the blood has even dried? Some people didn't even know whether their families and friends were safe. I was with a friend who, for several hours, didn't know whether her nephew was okay. If you really care about people, you wouldn't wish ANY child dead, regardless of their parents. But anyone with half a brain knows the left has all the compassion of a rabid wolf. Have a little class & human kindness and wait a few days before spewing hate. It doesn't do anything to help people still in shock. Every single person in this small community is grieving. This is not your home. These are not your friends, these are not your family, friends or neighbors so just shut the **** up you stupid ****.
PS...guess who was at the fairgrounds helping and giving comfort? Locally churches! Clergy were there to comfort people. There were Bibles & prayer, lots and lots of prayer. They were everywhere. There will be more prayer services here in the next week than you can shake a stick at. There's nothing you can say, there's no circumstance that would make anyone here give you their guns. Nothing. Many of us will be giving local gun shops a lot of business in the next few weeks. Chew on that!
PPS...sorry to those of you offended by my language but she deserves it and I'm sick of the left dancing in the blood of my neighbors because of something so cynical as politics.
