From the Nanny Bloomberg article:

“The only way to actually defund Planned Parenthood is to include it on must-pass legislation like the continuing resolution,” Cruz said. “It's the reason why Republican leadership wants a show vote. They know they'll lose instead of actually using their constitutional authority.”

“It ought to be a simple matter for Republican leadership to stand for something,” Cruz said, “and say at a minimum we're not going to send taxpayer money to a private organization that is under ongoing criminal ”

Cruz wants to force a government shutdown at the end of the month if Democrats don't relent, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has repeatedly opposed that strategy as it relates to Planned Parenthood funding, calling it an “exercise in futility.”

Here's the link.  As you can imagine, it slants biased against common decency.  The MSM reporters just plain suck when it comes to covering life and death issues, unless of course it's when they're wringing their hands and crying over the planned execution of some serial rapist/murderer.  Then their non-existent hearts weep bitter tears of anguish.

I don't think a shut down would really help him on getting elected POTUS or will it defund PP.
I do think it should be voted on and either allow the dems to vote to keep killing babies and if gets further allow the President to Veto it. This would be a win I think because then the R's will have real talking points on the talk circuits.
I don't see PP abortions ever getting defunded unless we have all three parts of government!

I actually think the last shut down helped the Republican party. 99% of the country didn't notice a difference. Let's face it, most of the government still kept going. 0bama couldn't get away with screwing military pay because the outcry from the public was deafening. Seeing the R's standing their ground was the catalyst for such a huge landslide, bigger than the last one, all the way down the ballot. I realize the establishment thinks we won a huge landslide despite the shutdown, but there's no way we would've won by such huge margins if people viewed it negatively. After the shutdown, they said they needed the senate & we delivered. When they velcro their nuts back on and stand for something people support them.

In fact I think it helped get more conservatives elected. The only ones saying that a shut down would hurt republicans are democrats and republicrats.

Government shutdowns are really a misnomer.

Anyways, I agree that it did help conservatives in 2014.

I couldn't find anything on the so-called news channels yesterday except for the wall to wall coverage of the Pope, thrilling perhaps to the nation's Catholics as long as they don't mind being lectured about illegals being welcomed to this country (duh, someday all these smart people will stop conflate illegal and legal immigrants).  I DID NOT see anything about the Senate being held up by Senator Cruz for the PP last stand...I can only assume Turtle Macconnartist managed to stymie any attempt at a filibuster.  I swear I don't recognize this country any more, not only do the majority of its leaders tools support infanticide apparently, they're willing to kill the rest of us by bowing down to Obama and his criminal deals with our enemy Iran.    Our descendants, if we manage to have any, will look back on this Obama regime as the final nail in our coffin as one nation under God.
Black fools who lament the persecution of their people by evil white cops and other assorted white folks ought to ask themselves how many of their own blood they've sacrificed on the altar of the false god Planned Parenthood and how many of their own they've allowed to be herded into modern day inner city ghettos run by the black quislings appeasing today's slave masters the Democrats.
Well, **** me, maybe Pocohauntus Warren and Bidin' His Time Big Mouth Biden will come on in to save us.  No folly the idiots who call themselves Democrats these days would surprise me, and all they have to do is vote more than once, which is no doubt what they're doing when they're not just digging up those corpses and illegals and making sure their votes count. :bird:

I think most in our great country are tired of the BS and just don't care any longer. The libs care about nothing but THEIR free stuff and the Cons are tired of the RINO lies (nov. election was proof). So we live a life of soundbites for the low info voter. I am convinced this was the plan by both parties all along!
