How Do You Divide A Country Headed For Right & Left Divorce.
   
It looks more and more that the GOP base and RW Christians cannot live with any form or secularism in government. They insist we will have a theocratic dictatorship with its own Christian sharia law. Meanwhile the rest of us embrace the Constitution and secular government. Neither side will give an inch in its position. And the lines solidify more an more.

It is like a broken marriage where neither party can live with the other in any kind of piece. At best it is a stalemate. At worse it is open political warfare all the time. Could the US be headed for a two state or two nation solution. A red state blue state division.

Now the situation may seem extreme and probably is. There seems to be no way to bridge differences.

...which, in turn, will bring about the end of the U.S. as s single, continent-wide "polity," eventually breaking down into smaller, regional governments...

4. Works for me! When can we divy states up?

Here has been no real good reason to remain united for a very long time now. Speaking for myself and I am sure others will agree there are parts of the USA and people that I have absolutely nothing in common with at all. I have more in common with people in Canada or Mexico then I do people in Alabama. Alabama is just an example.
I am sure it is vise versa too

The first division should go back to the configuration at the start of the civil war the Potomac River is a good natural division.

There is a liberal fantasy that somehow the Jesusland states would not have any military and that all the military would be kept in the hands of the "true USA" blue states. Even though the military is heavily dominated by soldiers from red states, a lot of military bases are in Jesusland, and they love war much more than do the coasts.
