Now I would like to address something quite serious

Ok some folks are having trouble as some Sanders Supporters (and the rest of us who just laugh it up) with this thread

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=565453

So instead of being comedic, I am going to be damn serious. First of all who I end up voting for is my own business, not any of yours, and I am not supporting anyone ok. The fact that I have to put this disclaimer is kind of sad, but it fits the theme.

DU is in the midst of something far worst and uglier than the 2008 civil war. Thankfully most civil wars stay in DU.. kind of you do not talk of fight club, outside of fight club. BUT... there are things happening here that are quiet ugly and may very well lead (and I am talking here of an absolutely worst case), to a partly splitting, and the dems losing the WH. Right now they are expected, against all previous historic data, to keep it. But hey, grab that defeat from the jaws of victory kind of a thing, why not?

For people who are utterly committed to keeping the WH this civil war should be raising all kinds of alarms already, And to be fair it is everybody to a certain level, though personally I have been called racist and mentally insane by two Hillary supporters. Do I find ALL Hillary Clinton supporters beyond contempt for those comments? Nope, some are even my virtual friends here. Do I find the campaign responsible for their contemptible behavior? Nope. Do I hold them responsible? Absolutely... but every campaign will have people who are nasty. It is a simple VENN diagram.

If you have a problem with ANY supporter of ANY campaign, think about the damage you could do long term by holding the campaign responsible for that behavior.

At the pace we are at, I expect the name calling to get far worst. I expect feelings to get much more hurt. and I expect this to lead to some people actually staying home at the General Election regardless of who gets the nomination. It could be a martian for all I care. The PUMA movement was utterly small (but rather entertaining) back in 2008, They had no effect ultimately in the elections and some voted for Romney in 2012 (Yes, there was a measure of racism in that ok). Do you want the equivalent to be larger this term? Becuase I can see it. I am not sure if it will have an actual effect but if you want to take the chance, by all means, do so.

Now I probably should not post this. Intra-party civil wars are kind of fun, and could be news worthy. But hey, rather try to raise awareness (good luck, I know) than see people who otherwise talk to each other be so hurt over what is being lobbed at each other here, that people will see each other as enemies, or worst. Friendships are getting strained already.

I expect this to be alerted on... it is what it is... and even locked. It is not meta, but hey, whatever. And as I said, intra party civil wars can be fun, and far more entertaining than oh... how many miles of road are in subpar condition...

Drama queen.

VENN diagrams are simple ?
Maybe VENN diagrammer should be added to franksolich's cousin nadin's resume.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I disagree with the nadster. If ever in the history of the internet there was a text based website/message board that could be considered LOUD ugly it would be DU, and she's near the top of the list of loud.

She's back on the "worst" wagon again.
Can I get some creamy BS salad dressing to go with that?
I think she's still miffed that the donkey in Ensenada refused to have sex with her.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Juan took one look at her and said something that translated to "not having sex with no short fat bald guy".
Donkeys in Ensenada are wicked smart..

Unlike Dem asses, REAL Donkeys maintain standards of what's acceptable.
How else would the Asshole Party be sporting as its major contendahs a woman? who looks awful in orange but better learn to love it, a desicated turtle of a *man* :p who lets black women stampede him and commandeer his mike; and two minor dofuses/doofi? no one ever heard of.  Oh, and if he decides to run, a man who would certainly catapult to victory on the sympathy vote engendered by his dying son.  How the hell'd that little gem ever surface, hmm?
