Planned Parenthood Sues Alabama
« on: August 30, 2015, 07:10:24 AM »
Planned parenthood and illegal immigration are 2 hot issues that I think will affect the outcome of the primaries.  Fortunately these are issues that even the Independents and some DEMS are siding with the GOP on.  It really takes a total lack of regard for human life for a company that sells parts of the fetus for money to sue a state government to fund their organization.  I think the entire organization needs to be shut down.

Planned Parenthood Sues Alabama: State Has No Choice But to Fund Us

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Planned Parenthood Southeast on Friday filed a federal lawsuit over Gov. Robert Bentley's effort to cut off Medicaid payments to the organization's Alabama clinics.

The organization said Bentley's effort penalizes low-income women who seek contraceptive and preventative health care services at the clinics. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Montgomery. It accuses Bentley of violating a federal law that they said requires Medicaid patients to have their choice of provider to receive family planning care.

"We're in court today because each and every patient, and her ability to make her own deeply personal and private health care decisions, matters," said Staci Fox, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Southeast...

..."The deplorable practices at Planned Parenthood have been exposed to Americans, and I have decided to stop any association with the organization in Alabama," Bentley said. Planned Parenthood has denied the allegations and says the videos, shot by abortion opponents, are edited to be misleading....

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

Oh, no, Staci Fox (nice porn name, by the way). Only black lives matter.

Didn't you get the memo?

If the AL state AG, Luther Strange, has a little courage and tenacity he could take the tack of using CMP's videos to demonstrate that PP is operating in violation of state and/or Federal law. And he could make the discovery process interesting, possibly a 55-gallon drum of annelids PP would rather not see opened. Whether or not Strange is willing to counter-attack PP is an interesting question. Also, several states have de-funded PP: that the suit would be filed in AL and not (AFAIK) multiple states suggests some judge-shopping by PP. IOW, pick a sympathetic venue in which to create a precedent that can then be shoved down other states' throats.
