Jumping Ship? Bush Fundraisers Exiting Campaign
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:55:04 PM »
Gee.  It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.  Interesting that some polls still show him in the #2 spot.  I don't think so.  The only thing is, with the kind of money that he has accumulated, I don't see him having financial problems going into the primaries.  He's merely going to sit and wait till the other candidates run out of money.  He really doesn't even have to compete or campaign. He just needs to sit on the sidelines and wait. Trump has a nice size bankroll, Cruz has a chunk of cash that hopefully will sustain him, but the rest of the candidates can't compete financially.

JUMPING SHIP? Bush fundraisers exit campaign amid sagging poll numbers

Three of Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s fundraising consultants have left the campaign, Fox News confirmed Saturday.

The consultants are Kris Money, Trey McCarley and Debbie Alexander, and they voluntarily left the campaign Friday, according to multiple sources.

Politico first reported the departures and suggested they were the result of personality conflicts and concerns about the strength of the campaign.

However, a Bush campaign source attempted Saturday to minimize the impact of the departures by saying the consultants remain involved in multiple projects outside of the campaign.

In addition, Bush spokesman Tim Miller told Fox News: "Governor Bush has the widest and deepest fundraising operation of any candidate in the field.”...

Bush and the super-PAC Right to Rise raised a combined $114 million in the first quarter of this year, according to federal records, meeting often-talked-about expectations that the operation could indeed raise that much money.

However, Bush’s poll number have steadily declined since billionaire businessman and first-time candidate Donald Trump entered the race in mid-June....

I think it will be Bush and Trump as the last two standing for the Repub. nomination. It is a shame that money determines the outcome. That happened last election because Mitt had the big bucks.

Unfortunately that always seems to be the case.  Thankfully with the focus on Trump so far it has allowed others such as Cruz and Fiorina to rise in the polls.

I hoping that there will still be a few surprises and maybe just once the Bush and Clinton dynasties will finally fail ... but then of course there is still Chelsea and George III.

I actually don't think so. This isn't a year when money is going to have the same power it usually has. It's more like when Reagan won the nomination and the presidency. People were so sick of the direction of the country and the status quo that elite money had no influence. Every once in a while the American people get so pissed they clean house. Most everyone in the country and pretty much all our base know electing a RINO with money and corporate interests will not change the country enough. His comments about illegals have pretty much buried him. No one except the Chamber of Commerce and the far left what anything to do with allow illegals to stay in the this country. Black people don't, either.

He's losing donors and seemingly voters every time he opens his mouth.

I think the Establishment will still give him the nod. Even though he seems to be sinking, he is still on his whole "act of love" kick with no signs of toning it down or even temporarily diverting to speak to a constituency that has no stake in opening the borders.

Frankly, if it comes down to Jeb or Trump in the end. I'll go for Trump. I can't hold my nose Jeb. I did it for McCain, I did it for Romney and I just don't have it in me to pull the lever for someone who cares for a particular group who shows no regard for our laws or our sovereignty because his wife tells him to care.

Hi 5.  You are absolutely correct.  Jeb has no regard for our existing immigration laws nor for the sovereignty of this country. I believe however that there will be perhaps 4 or 5 candidates left standing; Trump, Bush, Cruz, Carson and maybe Fiorina or Walker. I will vote for who I think is the best candidate, not for who I think will win.  I am a huge Cruz supporter.  If it comes down to every other candidate dropping out of the race, I will vote for Trump over Bush.

Ted Cruz 2016!

He still has 100 million either pledged or in the bank. That is enough for him to go all the way to the convention. Don't think he is going to quit even if he has little support. The media and liberals will try to prop him up because they think he is beatable.

Only because the GOP elite think Jeb is toast and Romney would fit their needs.

Business wise I think we would be in better shape IF he won in 2012 but that boat sailed. I couldn't vote for him.
