"Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind."

Some of you were not around for 2008... so you do not remember. But the war between the then Clinton supporters and the Obama supporters got bad. There were many bruised egos. Hell, when she finally conceded, some left in a huff creating the Party Unity My Ass, PUMA for short.

What I am seeing on this site makes that looks like a pikers vacation. Some folks are throwing divisive shit, trying to get people to react. Some are just calling people names (on all sides mind you)...

Some of us do not care who the **** you vote for. Hell, it is none of your business who I vote for... it is that simple... that secrecy is guaranteed by LAW. But what is happening here... well the scabs from 2008 are now off, the wounds are getting deeper... and it might tear a few folks away from Democrats.

Keep doing this, and I can predict this war will be nuclear. I can also predict this site will not heal.

And yes, from now on you post a divisive OP... expect me to call you on it. I am damn tired of it... that is not a threat... it is a promise. You post divisive shit calling supporters of candidates names, expect me to just point it out. Divisive shit. I expect this behavior to continue, but silence IS consent.

I also expect to be alert stalked, already started. And I also expect to have some individuals push buttons. Guaranteed, that your pushing of buttons will be answered with just two words. DIVISIVE SHIT. Or if this is actually bullying., the word bully

This is not healthy, but you know what? I am actually looking forward to failing in this endeavor due to the forces at play and for even MORE people to give up on politics and just retreat to their lives. There is so much abuse people will take. And I expect those same people to blame the voters for argle, bargle, usual blame game.

And to the hosts... the fact that this is allowed, I know it is not a bug, it is a feature. So if you close this down... it will not surprise me either.

1. I'm with you, nadin.

Why posters continue to slam one candidate while supporting another is beyond me.

My "ignore" list continues to grow...

Hang in there!

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

This post is Meta and one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Really bizarre and needlesssly aggressive Meta too. This pointless chest thumping is disrutpive and has no place in this forum and does nothing for the discourse here.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Aug 23, 2015, 07:01 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a silly alert.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I consider these unhelpful meta, vanity posts.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is not a personal attack.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Ya know, she was making sense (if somewhat condescending) - from their POV - until the second half of her post, where she went narcissistic martyr. May nads be doomed to be a narcissistic Cassandra!

So, let me get this straight.
The jury says it's not meta.
Then a mod comes along, says it's meta and locks the thread.
That's some wonderful democracy going around at Democratic Underground.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

It's good prep for the Democrat National Convention, when Hillary's superdelegates will dash any hopes that Red Bernie will be nominated.

The exit-polls said it was meta...they've got spreadsheets to prove it.

Remember -
This crap happens in Democratic circles as a whole. 'The God/Jerusalem vote' at the 2012 Democratic party convention is testament to that. The delegates repeatedly voted against reinstating God & Jerusalem, and the DNC went in and restored it anyway by falsely claiming 2/3rds of the votes even though the vote obviously failed. This DU lock after jury fail is essentially the same thing.

A reminder to lurking DUmbasses....
