Murder Suspect Screws Up Mosin-Nagant Suicide Attempt

Posted by Bob Owens on August 17, 2015 at 8:40 am

A Minnesota man suspected of murdering his girlfriend with a bow and arrow, then hiding her body in a tent then were living, was found with a gunshot wound to the head by a man who had stopped by to pick him up for a job.

Quote
A Morgan, Minn., man who survived a self-inflicted gunshot wound is facing a charge that he killed his girlfriend with a bow and arrow earlier this summer at a makeshift campsite near Franklin.

Dwayne Alan Case, 29, was arrested Friday after it was determined he was medically stable to be discharged from the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Case is now in custody at the Renville County Jail in Olivia and is expected to make his first court appearance Monday in Renville County District Court on a charge of intentional second-degree murder in the death of Elizabeth M. Gregg, 45, of Morgan.

Case stole what sounds like a Mosin-Nagant, a common and powerful World War-era Soviet bolt-action rifle. He then apparently attempted to commit suicide with it by putting the barrel under his chin and pulling the trigger.

There's a picture of this . . . 'individual' at the link--his mug shot (no pun intended).

Seriously?  LMAO  Warn me next time would ya.  I was eating lunch and had a mouthful of food.   :rotf:
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

He's from Minnesota, was suicidal, and put an eye out. I figured he woke up next to Alex and couldn't chew his arm off.

It made sense at the time.

Come on you guys, be fair.

Suicide with a rifle has got to be at least as difficult as opening saltine crackers.
