My wife just got back from volunteering at a library book sale [View all]At the end of the day any used books that did not find a new owner ended up going to the mulcher. She watched intently all day long to see if a particular set of books piqued anyone's interest. But no. Not a single person showed any interest in these books, despite the attractive slender blond decorating the covers. At the end of the day, she watched with amusement as every single Anne Coulter book went into the mulcher to be composted. I hope the earthworms don't get indigestion.

I'm working on leaving a nice, juicy carcass for them. OK, here's a good business op - I don't see any entries for "worm composting coffin" in Google.

My library in deep red country had their big book sale last weekend and I too can reporta plethora of Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, and various other RW books out on the tables. A few were weeded from the library collection, as mentioned by a retired librarian above, but I'd say the majority of them came from donations the library system collects throughout the year. People around here know that they can donate all the books they no longer want to the library and they will either add them to the collection (rarely), sell them at the book sale (mostly), or dispose of them properly (frequently).

Interesting.Stacks and stacks of books by Palin, Coulter, and the Bushes.Note the DUmmy accidentally mentioned they were used books. He spoiled his own bouncy tale.Books sold in highest volume show up in used book sales in highest volume.
I imagine conservative books don't sell well in liberal blue state hell holes.
