DUer pinto has died.

I don't have any details. His twin sister posted on Facebook this morning that there will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, August 23.

pinto was a staple in the Cooking & Baking and Religion groups. He had served as a long-term moderator on DU2, and on MIRT and as a main forums host on DU3.

His last post was a week ago today in C&B.

4. Not a clue. LOL, my sister stood me up for a lunch date today, so I'm winging it.

She just lost track of time or forgot. Retired after 30+ years of living by an appointment book (hairdresser) so I can't blame her.

I'll post details when I have them.

From pinto's dearest friend, worldfamouslois:

97. DUer pinto has died

Hi everyone-I just finally figured out how to do this-I am a long time friend of his and his family.-If you want to contact me please feel free- I'm am new to this site, not sure how to navigate so I get your messages. Not to mention my grief is over whelming right now and life is a huge fog.

One thing I would like to have passed along is that if any one wants to honor his memory he would love it if you made a donation to SLO Bangers Syringe Exchange-He was instrumental in helping us stay funded to stay open from day one as our grant writer. He made sure we could provide access to free syringes, free HIV/HEPC testing and to provide naloxone to save lives. If you so feel inclined to do so you can contact me and I will give you info on how to do so.

thank you all

And the donation link, thanks to MADem. Please specify that the donation is for the needle exchange. It meant a lot to pinto.

Poor old, probably ghey, hippie.

Hope you're not surprised, right now....   :whistling:

I think a "syringe exchange" is sort of like a propane exchange.

Democrat junkies can bring in their empty used syringes and exchange them for loaded used syringes.

Poor old, probably ghey, hippie.

Well, given how the world was fooled by allegations of the demise of poor old sweet Lu, hostess of the cooking and baking forum, and that it was necessary for Elad to excise the memorial to the mitchtv primitive because he wasn't dead after all, and that this was posted by the greataunt primitive, known for her deviousness and prevarication, good pal of the late red round one, Fat Che, and Skippy, I have my doubts that the pinto primitive has in fact sprung loose of this mortal coil.

It's possible he's trying to hide from bill-collectors.

When it comes to primitives, it's best to always remain skeptical.

If only we could harness this desire by libs to squander their money on hopeless and immoral causes to further diminish their ability to contribute to hopeless and immoral causes.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

So I take it that pinto is up there in the big needle dispensary in the sky now.

What will the junkies do without their free syringes?

What will the C&B forum do with yet another drop in primitives posting?

One of the replies said he earned his angel wings long ago. (you would think DU membership pretty much negates being an angel)

What has he done to earn his wings? He gave free syringes to drug addicts. He enabled addicts to further destroy their lives. How is that charity? How does that help the addicts?

When the last years of your life are dedicated to enabling evil...angel wings are not something you should be expecting.

Thank you!  This raises me to the 67-75% level of confidence that the primitive did indeed die.

One has to be really careful about trusting anything the primitive say, as I found out when dear old sweet Lu, hostess of the cooking and baking forum, whom the primitives had assured us was dead, ended up not being so.

DUmmies lie; all the time, DUmmies lie.

And it didn't help that the primitive who first broke the news was the greatauntoftriplets, a good pal of Fat Che and Skippy and Big Mo, and one of the loudest cheerleaders for the late red round one before he was late, ten and a half years ago.

The greatauntoftriplets, who somewhat resembles the late Gertrude Stein if Gertrude Stein had looked a little more like the late Elsa Maxwell and had badly-fitting dentures, has proven herself a notorious and prolific prevaricator, and so because it was her, well, I seriously doubted the pinto primitive had actually died.

When looking at the engraved plaques in the morgue on Skins's island, seeing that the ostensibly-died mitchtv primitive apparently hadn't died at all, I really feel a lack of confidence in those name-plates.

I'm only 100% confident that two of the primitives listed are actually dead, and that only because of first-hand, up-close observation.  The first of course is the late red round one, and the second, the primitive woman bothered by cold weather, the TroubleInWinter primitive, who died in an automobile accident in northeastern Arizona.

Alas--at least for her--it had been a case of mistaken identity.  The TroubleInWinter primitive resembled Ms. Hindenberg, the defrocked warped primitive, a great deal.

The surprising thing is that this latest dead DUmmy was planted in the DUmp boneyard before his drug-riddled carcass had cooled.

The last two or three dead ones had slithered off to their rewards and progressed well along the path to dust and ashes before the elusive, enigmatic Elad saw fit to entomb them.

That inconsistency might be due to doubt about whether they're well and truly dead, but it's more likely a by-product of DUmmy Elad's democrat work ethic.

Yeah, until the SSD(death)I is updated, that's when I'm sure a DUmmy has died, and so far, I don't see baindramaged and kirk in there, although I think only the walrus is still alive.

But if Kirk isn't dead, his loopy wife is playing games:

Jeanette Tuminaro
July 17 ·

Not been doing so well this past few days. Moving in with Joe has resulted in a few minor passive aggressive expressions on his part, but he's been handling the transition well. The smell in the apartment isn't noticeable by me, but it's likely a result of nose blindness. Right now, we've been having to go with no hot water, and very low water pressure, due to unknown issues in the apartment complex. It's affected most of the apartments, with very few having any decent water pressure AND hot water.

As a result, I've not tried looking for work, because it's very hard to get any kind of bath or shower with the situation the way it is. With only two active burners on the stove, I've not attempted to boil water for the purposes of bathing. Instead, I wash my hair when I'm going out, using the kitchen sink. And, because we have lots of adult bathing cloths, because Kirk Whole-Food Plant-Based Tuminaro used them, I have been using those to get clean. I've actually just been going without bathing often, because neither of us have needed to go out.
We have been patiently waiting for the apartment management to get the hot water/low water pressure issues sorted out. With the heat, however, the company they are contracted with has either not been able to come out as often as they expected to, or have been unable to determine the total cause of the issues. Because the previous manager didn't attempt to resolve the problem before he was fired, the new manager is having to play catchup on plenty of issues, the water issue being the major focus for now.

With all of that going on, it seems minor to say that I've been having more problems dealing with Kirk's death six weeks ago. It seems that the third week, and this week, are my weeks for kinda breaking down more severely than the other weeks. It's been far easier dealing with his death, making me feel like I'm just ignoring him, in some ways. It's hard, because I feel like I'm not treating him with the respect that he deserved. In some ways, because of my lack of reaction, I feel like I must not have loved him as much as I thought I did. So that's how it's been, I hope that everyone is having a good day.
