StemExpress Cuts Ties With Planned Parenthood After Expose’ Videos Show Sales of Aborted Babies

Quote
A breaking news report this afternoon indicates the biotech firm StemExpress is officially cutting ties with the Planned Parenthood abortion business after a series of expose’ videos show the abortion company selling it aborted babies and body parts from aborted babies

The sixth and most recent video features Holly O’Donnell, a licensed phlebotomist who unsuspectingly took a job as a “procurement technician” at the fetal tissue company and biotech start-up StemExpress in late 2012. That’s the company that acts as a middleman and purchases the body parts of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood to sell to research universities and other places.

That could be.Or maybe they're trying to cut their losses and the cut-off will be permanent. Time will tell.

What may have triggered this move - in addition to the obvious fact that CMP isn't backing down, and recently released the 6th video - is that StemExpress also got some "bad" legal news, and a hint of worse to come:

Lasting Injunction on StemExpress Video Unlikely

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. (ConscienceDefense.org) – In StemExpress v. The Center for Medical Progress, the Los Angeles Superior Court denied a motion by StemExpress that would have permitted StemExpress to depose David Daleiden and request numerous documents from The Center for Medical Progress (CMP). StemExpress argued that the depositions and documents were necessary in order to prepare for a hearing on whether CMP will be prohibited from releasing further damaging videos that reveal a profitable collaborative partnership between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood in the selling of fetal body parts.

In essence, the Court said that StemExpress would not be allowed to access CMP's documents because of CMP's rights and because doing so would not affect the fact that "it is unlikely that the preliminary injunction will ultimately be granted." Due to this highly favorable ruling, CMP expects that the current temporary order prohibiting the release of videos will soon lapse.

This ruling, while not denying their request for injunction, shut down a key element in StemExpress's (and PP's) lawfare strategy to silence CMP, tying down people and $$ resources through discovery. And the comment that the court was likely to deny their request for a permanent injunction was the kicker. If StemExpress wants to cut their losses - $$ and PR - they should withdraw their request entirely. A withdrawal would also avoid their request being ruled on, which would preclude refiling it.
