Marissa Janae Johnson called Bernie Sanders a WHITE SUPREMACIST LIBERAL. She said the same about white progressives in the crowd, calling them and Sanders extremely racist and "white supremacist liberals." Never mind that that Sanders' father was an immigrant from Poland whose family was killed in the Holocaust. Nazi Germany and Hitler were driven by a white supremacist ideology that did not county Jews as "Aryan." Neo-nazi and modern white supremacist and white nationalist groups are also very anti-Semitic.

BLM Seattle also posted this on their FB page: "The problem with Sanders’, and with white Seattle progressives in general, is that they are utterly and totally useless (when not outright harmful) in terms of the fight for Black lives."

If these protesters are calling Bernie Sanders a "white supremacist liberal," they have no idea what that is. We used to have white supremacist liberals in our country: they were southern Democrats and Dixiecrats. They were white people mostly in the south who supported economically leftist policies such as FDR's New Deal, Social Security, unemployment insurance, minimum wage laws, and pro-union laws, etc., but they felt that black people were racially inferior, and supported white supremacist policies like banning interracial marriage, Jim Crow, and racial segregation. Strom Thurmond and George Wallace are examples. Dixiecrats largely stopped existing after Nixon's Southern Strategy in which the GOP took over the South though.

Bernie is the FURTHEST THING FROM THAT.

Every group is oppressed in different ways and bigotry does nothing to fix that. Rants about "white people" only reinforce the philosophy that bigotry is acceptable, so long as one feels oppressed. Where does it end if the oppressed group can indiscriminately hate on whatever group the oppressors are part of? So the Russians were justified in what they did to German civilians at the end of WWII? Then that must have given East German rape babies the right to indiscriminately hate Russia once they grew up, right? WHERE DOES IT STOP?

Isn't it infinitely better to change "ugh, white people" to "ugh, bigots"? To spread the message that labeling and stereotyping and hating entire groups of people is wrong? That bigotry is ****ing unacceptably wrong? Marissa Janae Johnson doesn't know the attendees at Bernie's Seattle rally, doesn't know their life stories, what they believe in, or stand for, yet she called them all "racists" and "white supremacist liberals." There's a pic of her floating around with a shirt saying, "Sipping on white tears." I find that despicable and prejudiced.

It's the kind of thinking MLK denounced. Malcolm X also denounce that prejudiced thinking after his journey on the Hajj. Making assumptions about people, stereotyping, having your default position being viewing people with distrust...that's WRONG.

BLM Portland said on their FB page "This old white man and his colorblind economic policies ain't gonna save us y'all." First, he doesn't have colorblind economic policies, he's always been intersectional and talked about institutional racism. Second, to me, it's weird to bring up the fact that he's first and foremost an old white man, without acknowledging his record or policy positions, especially relative to other candidates. That's prejudice and bigotry to me, which is unacceptable.

I'm a person of color. I'm Asian-American: Not sure that counts, comrade. Asians aren't liked by African-Americans because you steal all their women... or something... I immigrated from India as a child. I don't have white privilege. I've been discriminated against people of all races due to my skin color. I think systemic racism against PoC is a huge problem in our country, and I want to combat it. Structural white privilege is real.

And yet, I strongly think bigotry against any race, or stereotyping, even against white people, is unacceptable. That's not progressive. That is regressive, bigoted, and reactionary, and should be condemned. If you supported the words and actions of Marissa Janae Johnson, you are NOT a progressive or liberal in my eyes. You are pro-bigotry and a conservative regressive

Black Lives Matter! Period. Therefore I Have Altered my Primary Intentions.

Recent attacks on people who insist that attention be paid to the wholesale killing of unarmed black people by official government law enforcement officers has convinced me that my support for Bernie Sanders in the primaries was misplaced.

When I align myself with a candidate and pledge support for that candidate, I am aligning myself with that candidate's supporters. ... Are you saying Bernie and his supporters support the... what did you call it?... the widespread oh, wait... the wholesale killing of unarmed black people by official government law enforcement officers...

I can no longer do that in good faith. Due to actions by supporters of Senator Sanders, I am withdrawing my support for him at our caucuses in Minnesota. I cannot be aligned any longer with his supporters, which has cost that candidate my own support. His insistence that economic changes will produce the kind of social change that is so much needed no longer can be supported, either.

Perhaps he will change that line of thinking, and perhaps not. He appears to be convinced of it. Yes, he has supported civil rights issues throughout his career, but his current campaign focuses too much on economics and not enough on redressing the real and continuing racial inequality in the United States. Both are critically important, and focusing only on one will not result in the changes that are desperately needed.

Some will, no doubt, say that I never actually supported Sanders in the first place. They are incorrect. I know my own heart and mind. Nobody else does. So, I will ignore such comments.

Candidates are known by many through the actions of their supporters. That can be very beneficial for the candidate or very harmful. Certain actions by supporters of Senator Sanders, whose politics in general are well-aligned with my own, have represented the candidate very poorly, and I see no tendency for them to change. Those supporters may well poison his campaign and cause the rejection of a broad base of support by PoC. Without that support, he cannot win the Presidency, and it is crucial that we elect a Democratic President in 2016.

As of now, I will be supporting Hillary Clinton to become the Democratic nominee for President. I believe she will be the nominee, and think that Bernie Sanders has reached his peak of support by the general Democratic voting public. What a shame! Hillary Clinton has and will continue to have broad support from all segments of our society. That support is absolutely critical. Loss of any sector of support will lead to a Republican as President. The Sanders campaign is too narrow and focused on only part of the change needed. Sanders supporters are making enemies, not friends. That simply will not work, and I will not support it.

Just because someone is black doesn't automatically mean they have the best interests of black people at heart. Dr. Ben Carson is black and I don't believe he cares one bit about the everyday plight of black people. The BLM leader on stage in Seattle is one who wore Sarah Palin buttons during the 2008 election. Think she might have a different agenda?

If there ever even was a legit BLM group or movement, it's toast now. I can still go along with the message but they better scrap everything and start over.

11. Come on, people. We've all watched BLM form over the last year . . .

as a legitimate protest movement that grew organically out of the Ferguson protests, and all the other killings of unarmed blacks in the last year.

We have people with sense her. We all know this. We've watched it happen.

We should not be so willing to discredit a legitimate protest movement because one seemingly unstable person who may be an agent provocateur even, appropriates the BLM moniker and takes it upon herself to stage a disruptive act.

We all should know that something is fishy with that Seattle protest, especially when nothing is done against the repugs where there should be protests. or Hillary...

Seems to me some megalomania is working and someone is thoroughly basking in their moments in the spotlight. I say follow the money.

It'll come out who is funding this.

We have better sense here than to believe this is what BLM is all about.

They are still trotting out the meme that the Seattle event was a VRWC hit-job.

It's almost better than watching the Hillary/Barry wars of oh so long ago!

The Sanders handlers are stupid. They should have known the #BLM dimwits would go after him again and again. Now they just put a target on his back.

I don't think they'll be so stupid as to not have proper security from now on (but then again, they may be that stupid), but if the #BLMers can't get on stage, they'll start chanting "black lives matter, black livers matter," the Sanders crowd will start chanting "we stand together, we stand together" in order to shout them down, and that's going to have a negative effect on Sanders.

And the Clintons will make sure it gets media play, count on it.

I've heard extended sound clips of her blathering on various subjects - where the point being illustrated by the sound clip had to do with the subject on which she was speaking. Tsaritsa CHILL's normal "accent" is condescension: she continually speaks as if she were explaining something to a 5YO. It's more grating that here occasional phony, cringingly-affected, "I'm identifying with you", accents.
