So, today is my friend's last day at her job.

Krystal Ball and her show The Cycle, is off the air as of this evening. This afternoon is her last show.

And Ed Shultz is out and Chuck Todd is in. CHUCK TODD???? On MSNBC?

That is like removing an air purifier from your living room and replacing it with a machine that pumps in stale cigar smoke.

By "friend," I presume Marc means that a picture exists of him and her, drinks in hand, casting desultory glances at the camera. I believe that is Marc's standard for "friendship."

Look, it is dishonest to say that Marc isn't accomplished. He has clearly done a lot, seen a lot, and from all appearances he is quite the authority in his field. My point is simply that it should be enough for him to look back at the hundreds of cocktail parties at his accomplishments and simply be happy. That isn't enough for him. however: he has to beat the DUmmies over the head with all of it. "His friend" Krystal Ball. Not only is she entirely irrelevant to the world (proof: she can't even keep a show on MSNBC), but the fact of their "friendship" matters not one iota to anyone else in the universe. This probably includes Krystal Ball herself: what business does she have being close friends with an antiques dealer based in Germany?

Marc: enjoy your accomplishments in SILENCE. You'll look less pathetic.
