'What lion?' Zimbabweans ask, amid global Cecil circus

HARARE (Reuters) - As social media exploded with outrage this week at the killing of Cecil the lion, the untimely passing of the celebrated predator at the hands of an American dentist went largely unnoticed in the animal's native Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, in Zimbabwe, nobody cares. A nation wracked by hyperinflation and Robert Mugabe.

Someone makes an interesting comment.

The real story here is a corrupt Zimbabwean game warden didn't get his take of the "necessary" extra-governmental funds and decided to create an issue for this poor hunter who took the animal legal when it wasn't on the game preserve.

This will be a non-event for all except the poor soul being abused by the sociopaths in the Animal Rights Movement.

p.s. Note to amoral dolts. Lion is consumed as a food by Africans and is a great delicacy for Asians.

If the Zimbabweans, the people who are DIRECTLY INVOLVED, are not making a big deal of this event, WHY SHOULD WE AMERICA? The only reason I see is because they don't want the planned parenthood debacle getting any bigger than it is. So this non-story is topping the headlines.
“Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms”

“The best things in life are beyond money; their price is agony and sweat and devotion ... and the price demanded for the most precious of all things in life is life itself - ultimate cost for perfect value.”
