Right now, corporations are not threatened by the 2a. Nor is the government. Thats what makes the whole gun love argument so rediculous. Your guns are not a threat to anyone in the grander scheme of the powers that be. They are no threat to anyone except fellow citizens who you have been taught to hate.

But if they continue to have their way, America will soon be a very poor nation. And that will effect a great many gun owners. Some of whom may actually have the desperation to set aside their prejudices and see who is actually at fault and then to go after them. And thats when guns could be a threat to the powerful.

And that is when your elected republicans will turn on you in a heart beat. They dont give a flying **** about the 2A. They are happy to use an easy issue to try and divide Americans, but that is not the same as caring about your issue.

A) theres no reason to assume that corps need/want that consuming class to be in the USA
b) theres no reason to assume that corps have the will and ability to focus on their future wellbeing over the needs of making a few extra bucks next quarter.

So what does this pin head propose, we allow ourselves to be disarmed?

I can't help but think if we ever reach a point where the corporations can dispense with our rights while the government watches approvingly/impotently from the distance that would be as good a reason as any for people to take to the hills.

In this fantasyland where the country goes the way of corporate rule as is being described, and corps then decide an armed population is a threat to their rule, and the need to take up arms to maintain our freedom is needed, the first people who need to be shot dead are the OneLoudVoice types, and then the way will be clear to take care of the corporate types.

The difference is that the Dems make no bones about that being exactly what they want to do, versus what a faction of socially-Liberal fiscal conservative overlords in the GOP might want to do if they didn't have to keep the base on board to get anywhere at all...and then screaming that the GOP is the real threat.
