part of story more at link...

(CNN)Former President George H.W. Bush fell Wednesday while at his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, breaking a vertebrae in his neck, but "it was not life threatening," his spokesman Jim McGrath told CNN.

Bush was taken to a hospital in nearby Portland where he is "very stable," McGrath said.

The former president was never disoriented.

"We are not expecting a long stay," McGrath said, though he added Bush would be treated with a neck brace.

Bush last month just turned 91. He revealed several years ago he suffers from a form of Parkinson's disease.

11. The shock of hearing about the Iran deal perhaps?

Worried that Iran might start talking about the treason he and Reagan committed?

After all, Germany just prosecuted a 91 year old war criminal.

17. At the very least

his doctor bills won't be a strain on the family.
I detest the guy and his spawn, but I am sorry he got hurt.
I looked twice to make sure it was not *W who fell - my compassion would have been non-existent.

24. I totally agree!

Yeah, I wish some here would not act like Republicans & be so vengeful...I mean it is not like this is "W"! I personally don't think Daddy Bush would have allowed the crimes his son did during his administration...He kept Dick Cheney in check back then!!!

Don't get me wrong I don't think I agree with Daddy Bush on much of anything but like you said compared to today's Republicans they would consider him "Liberal"!!! Lets not forget Daddy Bush is the one who called Reagan's economic policies "Voo-Doo Economics" if my memory is correct...And he raised taxes which turned many in his party against him.

23. I'm glad he's OK.

I would hope he dies in prison instead.

Bunch of sick bastards.

Go talk to your fellow kook, Octafish. GHWB is the one who ordered the assassination of JFK.

Do try and keep up with your fellow whackos, won't you?

I saw a thread about this very same thing that was posted earlier; the primitive who originally posted it must've been one of the lowly lumpenunterprimitiven, because for the life of me, I can't remember its name.

Anyway, this earlier thread got plenty of primitive reaction; it was brimming full of primitive goodwill and best wishes for the former president, scarcely a nasty word in the batch.

But the way the sentiments were expressed were, well, so stilted it looked as if the primitives were doing it on purpose without really meaning it, because they were aware that decent and civilized people were reading it.

Skins's island used to be a whole lot funnier--and more honest--back before the primitives knew of our existence.

Not sure if this DU-member lives in a fantasy world or I just hang out in the "wrong" places, but I've seen conservatives' reactions to deaths and troubles among liberals. I saw very few comments that were "vengeful".
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

****ing ghouls.

Another thread to remind Progs like Buzzy about when he and the other Primitives start finger wagging at us about our supposed insensitivity.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.
