Stone Mountain is on the hit list

Since the NAACP has placed Stone Mountain on their erase list I decided to nadin “Stone Mountain” at DU. Found these two discussions (among others).

Didn’t bring any of that over as it’s just the usual DU slap fighting.

Then I did a search on the Confederate Flag at DU for the last 24 hours. Apparently the rebel flag is still flying high at DU. It returned four pages of results.

I have some questions for the lurking DUmmies.

1. Do you really think that banning and/or completely doing away with the battle flag and/or CSA related monuments and memorials will accomplish any thing of value? If so, what? It won’t stop anyone from going hungry. It won’t stop anyone from being homeless. It may cost some people some jobs, but it won’t gain anyone jobs. It won’t end any hatred, but it may cause some.

2. Considering the above, how much actual good could be accomplished if the energy and fervor directed toward changing something that would not have a positive return was instead directed toward something that would actually make a difference? You know, something like decreasing inner city crime. I don't have the stats at hand, but I would imagine that inner city crime killed more people this week than the battle flag killed in the last 10 years.

3. Finally, if everyone who displays a battle flag is a racist aren’t you removing an easy means to determine who is racist by doing away with the flag? Is that really smart? I mean, look at the windmill in my user photo. If not for the battle flag flying on it you'd never know that it's actually an assault windmill with a high capacity blade magazine.

The carving on Stone Mtn isn't going anywhere.

This removal of the Confederate Battle Flag has moved beyond silly. It's got people talking about something that's really not even discussed in the South, and the discussion isn't going the way the primitives desire. It's a chance for Southerners to remind their kids that the Federal gov't can't be trusted.

So, as usual, Flippy is right. This is doing nothing but further isolating the very people the liberals want to join them in their fight against the 1%. By doing what they've done, they just set their movement back at least 2, and likely 3 or more, generations.

You have to remember: These are eminently weak and infantile people.

And that's not me saying it, that's what they tell you about themselves.

They build their entire identity on symbolism ergo opposing symbols hurt them personally.

That's why they need safe spaces and therapy dogs whenever they are confronted with mean (read: not aligning with their own) viewpoints.

As usual with their actions, it symbolism over substance with liberals in general and the DUmbasses in particular. Removing all of the things that cause them butthurt like the Stars and Bars and such will have no effect in the real world.

Today the democrat target for destroying American history is the Confederate flag.

But it's an incremental deal. As soon as they destroy one aspect of American heritage and freedom, they'll move on to another.

The flag was just their next target after their victory on sexual perversion.

They're already talking about all the "racists" on our currency.

Does anyone remember the muzzies shooting the stone cliff carvings in the desert with cannons to destroy art and architecture that was priceless antiquity ?
It looked something like this as I recall...




I wouldn't put it past the libs to try something similar with stone mountain.
