Iran Nuke Deal Expected Sunday
« on: July 12, 2015, 12:08:25 PM »
God help us!  Kerry negotiating under Barry's thumb.

Iran nuclear deal expected Sunday, diplomats say

Negotiators at Iran’s nuclear talks are expected to reach a provisional agreement Sunday that would curb the country’s atomic program in return for sanctions relief, diplomats told The Associated Press, a day after Iran slammed the U.S.

The two diplomats – who are at the talks and demanded anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the negotiations publicly -- cautioned that final details of the pact were still being worked out Sunday afternoon and a formal agreement still awaits a review from the capitals of the seven nations at the talks. They said plans now are for the deal to be announced on Monday.

The agreement would cap nearly a decade of diplomacy, including the current round in Vienna that has run more than two weeks and blown through three deadlines.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry dropped warnings Sunday that the talks could go either way....

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

While they are smoothing Iran's path to a WMD (despite the fact that Iran has sworn to destroy Israel, an ally), Iran is already violating the agreement...

Diplomat: Iran deal reached, to be announced Tuesday morning
« Reply #2 on: July 14, 2015, 02:15:56 AM »
I bolded the parts that the MSM is sure to overlook!

Quote
An Iranian diplomat confirmed Tuesday morning that a landmark Iran nuclear agreement was reached after clearing final obstacles, and sources said it would be announced officially sometime in the late morning.

According to diplomatic sources, the deal includes a compromise between Washington and Tehran that would allow UN inspectors to press for visits to Iranian military sites as part of their monitoring duties.

But access at will to any site would not necessarily be granted and even if so, could be delayed, a condition that critics of the deal are sure to seize on as possibly giving Tehran time to cover any sign of non-compliance with its commitments.

Under the deal, the source said Tehran would have the right to challenge the UN request and an arbitration board composed of Iran and the six world powers that negotiated with it would have to decide on the issue.

I imagine they'll  fold. They have a good record of doing it. I hope Israel is ready to run some air strikes.

My guess is fold since right after the announcement was made Obama tossed out this grenade:

This just ensures an Israeli strike. But I'm betting Obama will shoot down any planes so Israel may be forced to use nukes.

Americans Held In Iran Not Part of Nuke Deal
« Reply #11 on: July 14, 2015, 01:43:59 PM »
Why?  Apparently to the DEMS American lives don't mean anything; after all what difference does it make?  In my mind, the release of Americans held in Iran should have been the very first thing that should have been negotiated or there would have been no deal at all.  Obviously those lives mean nothing.  Kerry is an idiot.  What leverage if any does he have now to get these men released?  Can you imagine the horror that is now going through the minds of the hostages and their families realizing what just happened?  These men have been held for several years and this was probably their last chance for freedom.

'Do not forget them': Americans held in Iran not part of nuke deal

The United States may have just lost its best leverage to secure the release of four citizens held in Iran.

Monday’s nuclear agreement with Iran includes no provisions for the release of three Americans known to be detained in Iran and a fourth thought to be held captive by the Islamic Republic.

“What happened today makes a bad deal even worse,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice. “We will now focus our attention on convincing Congress to reject this deal.”...

...Secretary of State John Kerry, who led the U.S. side of negotiations for the deal, did address the plight of  former Marine Amir Hekmati, Washington Post Iran Bureau Chief Jason Rezaian, Christian pastor Saeed Abedini and ex-FBI Agent Robert Levinson during his press conference announcing the nuke deal.

“We continue to call on Iran to immediately release the detained U.S. citizens,” Kerry said. “These Americans have remained in our thoughts throughout this negotiation. And we will continue to work for their safe and their swift return. And we urge Iran to bring our missing Americans home as well.”...

Here's the full text:

Quote
Russian reaction to Iran nuclear deal
·         Putin said Russia welcomes the decisions that were reached in Vienna today, aimed at resolving the situation around the Iranian nuclear program: “Despite the attempts to justify forceful scenarios, the negotiators made a firm choice in favor of stability and cooperation, which will be reflected in a UN Security Council resolution.” (Interfax)

·         Putin added: “We have come a long way in the framework of the UN Security Council-backed negotiations involving Russia, China, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Iran and the European Union. We are satisfied that the decision they reached is based on the principle of gradualness and reciprocity our country has consistently defended at every stage of these complicated negotiations.” (Interfax)

·         Putin expressed his hope that all interested parties will fully implement the comprehensive agreement on Iran's nuclear program: “We hope that all parties involved, primarily the six negotiating nations, will fully implement the decisions that were made.” (Interfax)

·         Lavrov said the joint plan of action approved by the P5+1 group and Iran with regard to the Iranian nuclear program meets the task of the Russian foreign policy concept: “A joint comprehensive plan of action consisting of the main document and five technical and totally specific annexes has been coordinated, and a draft resolution of the Security Council which all negotiating parties will submit for consideration by the UN Security Council as co-authors has been coordinated too.” (Interfax)

·         Lavrov said Russia is hoping the United States will keep its promise not to develop the European segment of the missile defense network in the event of an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program: “All of us probably remember President Obama saying in Prague in April 2009 that if they managed to settle [the issue] of Iran's nuclear program the task of creating the European segment of missile defense would be gone… Hence, we called the attention of our American colleagues to that fact today.” (Interfax)

·         Lavrov said implementation of the agreement over the Iranian nuclear program will lend extra impetus to this country's economic relations with Russia: “Our economic ties will certainly get an extra impetus because the restrictions western partners introduced through their unilateral illegitimate sanctions against Iran will be lifted.” Lavrov said there will no longer be a situation where the “U.S. or EU attempts to apply these sanctions extraterritorially really prevented” Russia from implementing joint projects with Iranian partners. (Interfax)

·         Lavrov said Russian and Iranian atomic energy projects are immune to external negative factors: “Iran and us have very big plans for the development of Iran's atomic energy industry, and agreements have been concluded to create a number of new nuclear power plant units. I should note that both at the stage of validity of earlier resolutions of the UN Security Council and in the context of the new agreement this cooperation between Russia and Iran is fully insured against any negative impact of external factors.” (Interfax)

·         MFA is confident that the agreement between the P5+1 group and Iran will bolster the nuclear non-proliferation regime: “It will have a positive influence on the general situation in the field of world security and stability and in the Middle East, including the Gulf region…Russia aims to continue intensive work for the benefit of steady implementation of the agreement, including a number of bilateral projects with Iran… New vistas are opening in Russia-Iran relations for sustainable development on a mutually advantageous and long-term basis and implementation of significant joint projects.” (Interfax)

·         MFA is expecting the final agreement between the P5+1 group and Tehran to exclude a military solution to the Iran problem: “The achieved comprehensive agreement should exclude the development of the Iran situation via a military scenario, create important prerequisites for moving towards the goal of the formation of a zone free from weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East and mobilization of a broad antiterrorist coalition in the region.” (Interfax

The more I read about this deal the more disappointed I am in Iran's negotiating skills. At the rate Bozo and Skerry were going if Iran would have only held out another couple of days they wouldn't even need a nuclear program because Bozo and Skerry would have given them all of ours.

If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

There wasn't even really any need for all these long drawn out negotiations.

It was a fan dance.

This "deal" could have been done in one 20 minute phone call.

Shills for owebuma like Colmes are saying owebuma was right that we should negotiate with our enemies.
Anyone remember Hitlary asking if owebuma would negotiate with enemies without precondition ?
At any rate we shouldn't be negotiating with enemies.
We should be dictating terms.
If we aren't, it's tantamount to surrender or appeasement.
