Since a few people were asking how I was doing...
I get thrown out at noon on Monday. I still have no idea where I'm going, and once again my case worker has totally dropped the ball on me. Thursday before the holiday weekend this weekend her and her supervisor did a conference call with my one brother who was the one that insisted I work with them. That was when I found out that none of them will store a few of my things like my computer and personal papers. That brother also said that one of my other brothers had offered to take Yoshi, my dog, because he had a yard. I talked to that brother last night, and there must have been some miscommunication going on because he can't take my dog and doesn't understand why my other brother had thought that. His yard isn't fenced, and he has cats, and his roommate is afraid of most dogs. Apparently, when the roommate was a little kid she was attacked by a neighbor's dog. In any case, now I'm in the eleventh hour and have no idea where I'm going (if I can even go anywhere) and am back to square one trying to find a good place for my dog.

Yesterday I called the breeder to see if he or anyone he knew could take Yoshi for just a few months. I was shocked that I didn't get a call back since he always responded to my yearly emails about how we were doing and sending him photos, which he always said he was thrilled about and why every year I did it. So, today I called the woman who owns Regalia Akitas and had co-owned Yoshi with the breeder when he was a baby. She's 78 now and in poor health. She also has to lose some of her dogs since she's too ill now to keep going with the number she has and severely downsizing her kennel though I have a terrible feeling it's not just downsizing she's doing. It's such a tragedy as Regalia had been one of the very best in the world. She also told me that the breeder I got Yoshi from and who she had been very good friends with suddenly stopped communicating with her at all about a year ago. She since found out that he isn't dead, but some disaster must have struck him/his family, as she's heard that he is trying to find homes for his dogs, stopped showing them over a year ago, and she thinks it may be his health as he was having some kind of health issues the last time they talked.

She gave me some advice most of it through the national Akita organization and the name of the person she's known for a long time that is on their board who might be able to help. She also said that I should still try the closest Akita rescue organizations even though they say that they only take dogs permanently and find homes for them, she said that some will help with a temporary situation especially if it's short term (a few months maybe). I've already known the few anywhere near me which are in NJ (all the PA ones I could find are clear across the other side of the state). I'm re-charging my phone now and will be calling them, but I doubt they'd be able to do anything this weekend. Then I'll try my saintly vet though I don't think there would be anything they or any organizations they know of that would be free. Though they board cats, they've never had to room to board dogs. I'm still hoping they can steer me in some better direction or that someone on their staff would take him temporarily as that's happened before but it may have been permanent situations only.

I FINALLY got a job (menial and low pay as it is) and it's taken over a month to get through the whole hiring process. It's a long term temp job with a medical supply company, so I had to do a urine drug test and a vision test and a whole bunch of computer testing and filling out endless information, but that's all done with now, and it will be some time next week before they get the testing results especially with the pee and vision tests. It's middle shift and not too far away and that I'm scared to death about since the shelter locks the doors at 8pm every night. Yesterday, the guy I talked to at the agency I've been getting no help from who man's the phones over the weekend said that the shelters really jump through hoops with their own rules so people can keep their jobs since most of the people they house don't have jobs and have their own big issues where it's next to impossible to find them jobs. I'll probably be the only one there that has a car (such as it is) as well.

I've been having problems with my car for months and was another issue that suddenly cropped up after the tire sabotage. It seems that a cylinder is randomly crapping out causing it to stall out when idling. As long as I have my foot on the gas it's not a problem. Wednesday and Thursday last it was REALLY bad. I'm wondering if it has something to do with how much gas is in the tank as it seems to me that the more gas is in it the less it's been doing this "coughing" and stalling out thing. And I know that Wednesday and Thursday I had barely a drop of gas in the tank and was terrified I wouldn't make it back home.

I'm basically dead broke now. Yoshi has only a couple of days of food left if that and I've not got a cent to get him more. I'd also been trying to stretch it as far as I can with hot dogs or any other kind of people food I can feed him that's not bad for him. I begged the water company, phone company and internet companies for a month's grace to pay those bills, and they're all coming due next week plus I still have to pay the month's bills that come due immediately after. All I could really do was just push back the time to pay last month's bills without being shut off, so I'm still being charged every month with them all (it's not like they waived a month's bill) though of course I'm grateful that they were willing to not shut me off for that month. It means though that now I have to pay them all double. The electric/gas company hasn't sent me a shut off notice though now I must owe them three months of my bill. It's not nearly what I used to pay though since I've been on their poor people program. So those three months probably don't even add up to $150. When you're this broke though, anything is too much. And I'm grateful as can be that they were willing to do that much since I've never needed the phone and internet and water more than I do right now.

I have to shut off and pack up the computer some time Sunday, and find a way to get it stored somewhere so the scumlord can't get her hands on it. And before that I have to find out how to password protect it so no one can get in it.

Then I find out that someone lied to me about what happens to my stuff... the scumlord gets it all!!!! I HAVE to get my stuff the hell out of here before she gets her grubby paws on EVERYTHING... my personal papers, my underwear, my tv, computer, my winter clothing and frankly most of my clothing, my sentimental things, my furniture, and just everything. More than anything else though I have to get the computer, tv and blueray and anything else like that since that would be stuff she'd more likely want to steal. And there is no way to stop her and no way to prove she stole or broke a thing. She's supposed to pack everything up and put it in storage for 30 days, but I have to PAY her for that! I also have to get "permission" from her in 10 days from the day I'm thrown out, and she WILL do whatever is worse for me and better for her. She'll never pack anything herself but hire the most expensive company she can find to do it and move it into storage just to make it harder for me to get it back. If I can't pay whatever it will be then she owns every single thing I have down to my underwear and whatever balls of lint are still in here that came from me.

I can't get "permission" from her in the first place since she has an attorney which means I can't speak to her at all (and good thing, too, because all I have to say to her would get me thrown in jail). But the attorney won't return my calls, and I have no idea if she even knows anything about what happens to my stuff. I don't even know if the scumlord knows though I think she does since the last time she was in here was right after the hearing when the building code office made her come immediately to put in new smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors (the latter she never had in here) since they were so old they didn't work. And while doing that she was looking around at my stuff with covetous eyes especially the tv and stereo and computer. Most of the stereo is gone now since I sold it on craigslist for peanuts, and I never had speakers for it or hooked it up anyway. She'd steal any of my music and movies as well. She'll also go through all my personal papers I have no way to get out and everything else I have to just be nosy and use anything against me. I'd rather have anyone else do this than her... even the devil himself should there be one.

I had been told right from the beginning of this horror that it was the constable or sheriff's office that packed up my stuff, put it in storage, and if I couldn't pay the bill for storage then the township would own all my stuff and auction it all off keeping for itself any proceeds. But the notice I got saying when I get thrown out said otherwise, and I'm just horrified by that. That beast is going to steal my stuff.

I just talked to an Akita rescue that's the best one near me I could find though they're in NJ. After a very long conversation with the nice woman who called Yoshi is doomed unless I can board him, and any place like that would make me pay for at least a week of boarding up front. Apparently, they normally charge $20 to $30 dollars per day, and that's most of what this new job pays. Even if I got donated money to do that there's no way it could be in hand in time that I can think of at the moment anyway. Worse, the prospects for him are grim even if I was to let him go permanently as this one weekend is the worst of the whole year with people dumping their pets that don't want them anymore, and every shelter is packed to the ceiling with dogs and cats being gassed to death just to make room for the new ones that come in.

I'd FAR rather the vet euthanize him humanely then put him or ANY animal through that hell, and no vets WILL do it - I know mine wouldn't because he's young and healthy. There's all kinds of organizations that help people save their pets after natural disasters or domestic violence but nothing but paying for him to be boarded somewhere is there anything for. Even if I were to surrender him forever he'd STILL get stuck in one of these terrible shelters first because she said it can take a couple of weeks to get them out to their place or to another rescue place and only after they're evaluated him... after he'd be stuck in a cage with nothing but strangers around him. She also said she knew for a fact that the shelters in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties are horror houses, and they even ship animals out for mass slaughter before they ever see a cage. OMG! I'd rather die a thousand times than have him suffer like that. I can hardly stand losing him temporarily, but I'd deal with it as long as he was at a good place and I'd get him back.

Tomorrow I have to pack what I can for where ever I'm going (if there even IS a place that will take me) and by early Monday I have to password protect my computer and box it all up to go I don't know where. And if I can't find a decent even short term (a few days) place for Yoshi I'm flying off that cliff I've been teetering on for awhile now.

I'm still owed my last month's rent since I'm not getting a last month though I bloody PAID for one, nor am I getting my security deposit back because I'm not getting the opportunity to do those things the lease required in order to get it back. And I KNOW that viper never put either of them in escrow since I'm ALSO owed the interest that would have accrued after all these years.

I also just found out days ago (maybe as long as a little over a week) that PA law required the scumlord to return my last month's rent with interest accumulated after occupying this place for 25 months...

Jesus, I could have gotten out of here YEARS ago had she not broken the law. SHE's broken the law at every turn yet I'M the one having my entire life destroyed, and she even gets everything I own!

So, there it is. When I started this hours ago I had hope even not knowing where I was going and having everything I have taken from me with the last person on earth I'd ever want anywhere near it, and resigned to have Yoshi taken away even temporarily to a good place. After hitting brick walls for finding a good place for him he could go to tomorrow or even early on Monday I'm sickened beyond belief that there is nothing at all I can do to keeping him from hell and losing him forever. That's the one thing I can never live to see. I'd pull out my own entrails with my bare hands to keep him from a single moment of his suffering at some hideous shelter wondering why I've done it to him. OMG, I can't even let myself think it.

I need to take him for his walk now. I may never be able to do it again, and it's finally stopped raining. I still have tomorrow to try, but after that I think I'm back to being done with this world. After what I've been finding out about the situation for Yoshi I can't cope at all. God help me, I've never fought so hard for anything in my life and at every turn I've utterly failed.

1. How is it you have the capacity to write these long screeds, but you can't seem to focus on your own situation (other than to beg money)?
2. How do you have a scanner to post nice images of an eviction notice?
3. Why do you still have a ****ing dog? YOu are now getting close to animal abuse.
4. Why do you REPEATEDLY beg on DU?
5. When will you stop beating people over the head with your circumstances and do something to help yourself, with dignity and honor?


That's a just a start. I hope your dog is taken from you before it dies.

And you were offered a free place to live with your dog. You turned that down because you thought job opportunities were better where you are. Obviously that's not so.

I'm just tired of the left framing the debate. People like us need to drive home the point that the left cannot seem to manage their own lives and thus do not deserve to be in charge.
