Fox News
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:49:03 AM »
I am really beginning to question FOX News even more.  The headline of the story is "Sen. Ted Cruz returns donations from head of group linked to Charleston gunman", yet they show a large picture of him with safety glasses and holding an M-15 with a caption "Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, reacts after shooting a Smith & Wesson M-15 at the CrossRoads Shooting Sports in Johnston, Iowa."  Sure they make a reference to him returning the donation which is great, but then they turn around and show him firing an M-15.  The liberals are going to have a field day with this one! They keep it up and they are going to lose their followers.

Seems like Fox News is trying to stir the pot and certainly didn't help Cruz who is not only seen as an ultra conservative but hated by the GOPe and liberals.

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

The photo does not bother me in the least.  What bothers me is the photo was used in conjunction with reporting Cruz giving back donations from a group linked to a gunman.

I'm more bothered by the fact that they misidentified the weapon.

He has every right to send back the donation, since it is the most effective way to repudiate any connection to the gunman.
